I didn't really care enough about the money. I like driving so it was no bother really. Yeah the parking structures for visitors suck. One quarter I wasn't able to get a commuter permit for a permit-only lot so I had to park in one of the campus pay lots.
The only time my car has ever been scraped by someone else was in that lot , by some blonde chick with a 5th gen mustang convertible.
She turned too wide into a compact space and evidently when she made contact with my rear fender she decided to keep on going. I even parked off center towards the zebra stripes (no parking zone) on my drivers side so that kind of shit wouldn't happen.
