No lawsuit can happen if the recall was done retard. and it was heavy keychains. Just like Toyota's unintended acceleration lawsuits were the result of their customers being too stupid to know which pedal was the gas and which was the brake. Or Chrysler's recent automatic recall because people can't figure out how to turn a knob to change gears.
If you really wanna harp on a design being literal shit, I suggest starting with all the Honda's, Toyota's, and BMW's that were involved in the Takata airbag recalls.
