The whole point of Rally games is handling cars that have weight to them and handling that weight, when the cars have no weight to them it doesn't feel like a rally game.

AC has mods. You will be able to find most cars in varying degrees of quality. It has no career mode and feels very unrewarding in single player unless you love hotlapping.

Assetto Corsa has seen some drastic changes the past year in its tire model and physics.
As of today, I cannot say that Assetto Corsa simulates accurately real word physics when I drive past a corner in the game.
It's especially worst since the last update, it's like Project Cars.

And got screwed. What is it with this game it will randomly choose to lock up. 3 hours of playing no issues, first lap screen freezes for 5 seconds game still works. pull over into the sand no problem.
Get back on the track and then get fucked twice and car is slowed down by 2 seconds a lap. From 2nd fastest time to 2nd to last....

I've had lots of fun with Pro Street when it came out. Looking back at it, I can somewhat understand why it wasn't really popular with most NFS fans.
No one really expected a NFS game to focus on legal racing on closed courses only, many people expected to have a somewhat big and varied open world like in the previous games and were therefore disappointed from the start.
The tuning was pretty in depth, with the autosculpt system from carbon where you could change some settings on each part (grille size, spoiler size and angle, etc) which actually had some effect on how the car would handle aswell as the ability to play around with suspension, gearbox and engine settings but most people that were into NFS because of the tuning ignored these things and complained that many of the parts looked ugly.
And then. many people that would've been interested in setting up the car to get a better lap time were put off by the physics which still were very arcadey (especially the ridiculously strong slipstream effects)
But then, I really liked it for the tracks since they picked more obscure race tracks that I never heard of before (like Portland, Willow Springs, Mondello Park, etc) and I had no problem with the tuning or the physics and I really liked the atmosphere of the game. The menu before every race showed the infield of the track where you would see people walking around and looking at cars and the announcer talking about the races in that event or stuff that happened outside of it

i played it since 2013, i never had those issues. Have you tried the new DX11 mode?
I have a 23in monitor and according to some site that gives you your FOV, mine should be 27° if I put the monitor as close as I can.
I still get barely nothing inside the cockpit, can only kinda see better if I put the view from the windscreen (where you see the hood).
What do you single monitor guys do?

I lowered the graphics setting from 1 to 3 and the issues seems to have gone away. Despite getting the peak 84fps on both settings. Might have just been a memory issue.

Basically, it crashes very early on in the career when trying to go to any of the events that you need inorder to progress.
Supposedly blocking the internet connection with the firewall to prevent the game to connect to Autolog fixes that but I haven't been able to try that yet.

What mod cocktail does /ovg/ use with Shift 2? I had a great career mod that included quali sessions, longer races, better AI and better events for D & C categories, but it didn't fix the driving and was uncompatible with PTMu which I remember was pretty good.

Turn away from where you should turn in in order to put weight over the inside wheels, then turn in properly with a bit of braking in order to lighten up the rear end. Get back on the accelerator a bit before you need it to stabilize, countersteer as appropriate.
