Protip: glass is harder than metal. But paint ain't. So take a razor to the glass like an oven Ceran plate cleaner if you want the stickers off.

The problem isn't adhesive its the fact that the sticker will actually induce discoloration in the paint as it protects it from UV Light.
It's fixable but it'll require some skilled at detailing to buff it out.
It would also take quite a months to have any noticable discolouring, probably a few years. If you really have a totally mint classic place on the windows.

The speed of discolouration entirely depends on where you are in the world.

See, that's where you're wrong. The only thing the stickers do is block direct sunlight which is the real cause of paint fade. As it has been stated multiple times before, if your car is older, the paint is likely already faded to the point that it won't make much difference anyway. There is no paint damaging compound in the glue or vinyl. If there was, vinyl wrapping cars would be completely pointless.

You should start something like a recommended colors list for each sticker. You got a lot more time to look through the styles than we do.
