Sister wrecked my car ('07 Mazda 3), but on the bright side, that does means I finally get my own car to myself. Obviously the STi packs a hell of a lot more power under the hood than the RS and is way more fun to drive. The STi is an absolute beast of a car but that accident made my whole family's insurance rates go up. I'm looking for a Subaru/Honda/Acura because of their legendary reliability.
>dad texts me a link to a craigslist post (pic related)
>'05 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS Sedan
>5-speed manual
>only 64k miles
>no issues
>$5000
Is the Impreza RS worth it? Is it still fun to drive, despite being a nerfed Impreza? Should I get it?
Other cars I'm considering
>2006 Acura RSX
>2006 Honda Civic SI
>>14884307
considering your other options i'd say you need to jump on it quick fast and in a hurry
>>14884307
>that hood scoop
I'd say don't rush to get any car. Seems TOO cheap as well.
>>14884331
>subaru carries over the hood scoop from the WRX models
>serves no actual purpose on RS model
>>14884307
>"sports" trims
It's good for the price and mileage but you're not buying a fun car. If you want fun and can't afford an STi get a WRX.
>>14884504
That looks like a shitty fake stick-on one to me. Look through the scoop on a WRX or STi and you can see the top mounted intercooler. This thing looks solid to me.
>>14884538
Subaru left the hood scoop on the RS for keks
>>14884555
Fuck me sideways, Subaru for factory rice.
>>14884504
Ha, not that aftermarket POS "scoop".
Regardless, that's cheap as shit for an Impreza of that vintage. Just don't forget to change the timing belt at 90k
>>14884573
They didn't have the WRX in the US until 2002.
>that's a JDM hood mah nigga
>my 2000 outback sport has the same shit
>>14884351
>>14884307
>$5000
>For an 11yr old EJ25
>with a autozone hoodscoop
>>14884577
so I should change the belt just prior to 90k, correct?
UPDATE: My dad says he called the guy and it's already sold. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!
>>14884710
Be alot more quicker next time, sport
>>14884710
I was working on a deal to trade my old 2001 Jeep for a 2002 WRX. The WRX had 300,000km with a new, low mileage engine, but I figured the Jeep is done anyway so why not?
Dude was supposed to meet up but stopped texting me back :(
>>14884596
this
What's this?
>2005 WRX
>103k mi
>$8000
Get an 05-06 RSX type s, the the rs really isn't fun
>>14884821
the s-type is the manual version of the RSX?
>>14884833
yeah the type s comes standard manual
>>14884833
Type s is the higher performance trim.
6spd instead of 5spd
200hp instead of 150hp
