What is your favourite "small company supercar"? Ones made by Pagani, Noble, SSC, Saleen, RUF, etc.
I love the S7
BRZ
MT900 by Mosler.
Wish it went around the Burgerking and generated a lap time.

I like the Mosler MT900. It was basically a kit car with an SBC made to go racing. The cars started off as tubs in Florida and then shipped to the UK. It had a pretty successful racing career in the 2000s competing in various European series as well as Super GT. It even had a class victory at the Daytona 24. Despite its record, it was one of those those badass supercars that few have heard of.

I like the pretentious history lesson, like he's the only person who "knows"
>>14849747
No, that's just your antisocial neurosis making you think that. This is why no one like you enough to be your friend, anon.
This, now fuck off.
>>14849677
Forgive the stupid question but what's SBC?
>It was basically a kit car
do you mean it was like a kit-car or actually was one? aren't kit-cars not allowed at all to compete in GT-like races where the cars have to be based on production cars (or have production examples)? i remember hearing that people thought they were kits cause of the corvette rear-lights and that hurt sales.
>>14849747
>giving reasons why you like something is bad.
wew lad.
Does the Wiesmann GT MF5 count as a supercar? Or just a really fast sports car?
Cuz if we're counting in RUF I think Wiesmann deserves a seat at the table too.

Thirded.
And the Callaway Sledgehammer if that counts as a super.
Also forgot the Vector W2.

>Forgive the stupid question but what's SBC?
Small block Chevy. Mosler fitted cars with LS1, LS6, LS7. Some even had twin-turbos fitted.
>do you mean it was like a kit-car or actually was one?
it was kit car like. Most of the early cars used stuff that can be ordered from a parts catalog.
>aren't kit-cars not allowed at all to compete in GT-like races where the cars have to be based on production cars (or have production examples)?
Depends on the regulations of the governing body. Even then making special exceptions is not uncommon. I do know the Mosler was pursuing FIA homologation, but I don't think they ever got around to it.
>>14849822
Just calling 'em as I see them.
>>14849801
Small block chevy, an extremely popular pushrod V8 design. Used in Vettes, Camaros, Silverados, etc.
>>14849822
at this rate you'll die virgin.
Definitely Pagani. It's Horacio Pagani's vision in motion, and he actively works to keep it that way. Plus, the artfulness and care taken in each car are at levels unlike anything seen anywhere else. If the carbon fiber seams don't match up, the entire part is rejected. That is perfectionism.
For some reason Morgan. Then again, i think Porsches are beautiful.
Anyone heard of the farbio gts400?
>>14851810
Yes.
Company went bust and got bought out by Ginetta, who still produce that car under the name "Ginetta G400".
>>14851810
There's one for sale on autotrader. Never even heard of them.
>>14851830
They're pretty cool, the body is completely made from carbon fiber.
>>14849610
>SSC
Never ever..
>>14849610
:(
When will SSC make American cars great again?
Lister Bell, for finally making an attainable Lancia Stratos clone that wont fall apart on you.

How can one car look so radical?
>>14851955
Jesus, that car looks sexy as fuck. It makes that Aventador over there look gay.
>>14851955
if those dots were slats or just not there i would like this more. anyone know the designer?

or this Tramontana R
>>14853707
I would find a way to DD this car
Only car in the category I've driven is a BAC Mono, pretty ridiculous car obviously but the construction on it is incredible, you can sit and look at the car for an hour without getting bored. Koennigsegg and Paganis are similar, you can see that thought went into every single bolt and washer, haven't driven either of those though so don't know what they are really like, someday. One I really like the look and idea of is the Lucra LC470 but haven't seen one in person so IDK how well built it actually is.
>>14853855
Everytime I see that car I imagine pulling up to a drive through with it.
>>14849610
I'm a big fan of Superlite/RCR and the fact that they actually go and try to set track records with the SLC. It's also the best looking to me.
What did he mean by that?
>>14854067
Then why are Ferraris all aerodynamic but light on fire all the time?
>>14853947
Delicious.
Idk if this counts cause its a kit car but I fucking love this thing

>build an aerodynamic car with a small/shit engine to help it move and cut though the wind
>build an unaerodynamic car that brute forces itself where it wants to go against the wind
Because it's proof that supercars don't have to be fast to steal the show.
Noble hands down
>>14854154
>not fast
>ugly as sin

>>14854181
Right, because your edgy Hotwheels wedges are any better looking.
>>14854067
Supposedly the quote was from 1960 when racecar aerodynamics were in their infancy and Ferrari engines really could outpace the competition despite inferior aerodynamics. Either way, Enzo Ferrari was an asshole with something to say about everything often with flawed logic. Ferrari was one of the last teams adopt a mid-engine layout in F1 with another famous quote about the ox should be in front of the cart which again is utter nonsense because if he really believed that, Ferrari would have built an FF car.
The CTR, yellowbird for me
it was faster than both the F40 and the 959, the king of supercars of that time. It also had all the "just fucking end me" characteristics
>480hp
>400torks
>two massive turbochargers, so turbo lag is plenty
>way rear mounted engine, and not like the modern 911 wich are kinda approaching mid engine
>sub 2600 lbs
>massive rear tires, meaning you have extreme grip, until it lets go. this is when you die
all this makes it very hard to drive, look at the guy in the first vid, how much he has to fight it compared to one of the fastest cars on the ring to day, say an aventador SV (yeah i know it had 4wd and driver aids and all that shit, but still)

Is this the most insane hypercar made yet?
I guess there is that Devil-16 thing with 5000hp but that'll be crap. Should've been a muscle car landyacht, not an RMR.
>>14849610
Definitely the S7..
