Im a..well was a Holden and I couldnt give a single fuck. Local manufacturing is far too expensive and they didn't/couldn't/wouldnt adapt to what people want. Holden had a great opportunity to make the Torana as a med size car to compete with the Mazda 6/ Honda Accord etc, even an SUV based of the base, but the Captiva would of been cheaper to sell. I guess the design decisions came from the top in GM NA

Only good thing that we did was a 2003 Barra Turbo 4.0l absolutely amazing engine.
Car wise we havent done anything good since, i could argue that the vt-vx was the last good holden made but some of the newest lsx powered beasts at least go noicely.
