Due to weight and vibrations this will likely open on its own/break off and empty your sump. Maybe if you can support the end it could be OK. If you can also keep it straight down it could be OK.

Beyond that, it's not THAT annoying to have to unbolt the oil drain plug, assuming you're not driving a boxer.
Quick tip: when removing the drain plug, crack it loose, and push it in while unscrewing it. Then, just pull it away quickly once it is loosened enough to pull off. No mess, no burns, etc.
I thought about a fumoto valve, but decided against it simply because I don't really find removing the drain plug on my car very annoying.

The latest MR2 I bought has one of these and honestly I want to put one on NY other car and my parents car. I don't have to lift my mr2 up to change the oil. I slide the oil pan under, reach and flick the notch, get NO oil on me. Go change the oil filter from the top. Flick it shut, remove pan, pour in new oil, done.
