So, I was dumb and financed a $900 scooter for $1800 through its dealership/seller place and a few months later a driver ran a stop sign and I had to swerve, ran into a curb and fucked up the front of the scooter to where it was totaled.
I got an attorney and 5 months later I have an offer for $560 from the at-fault party's insurance company for what's left of it. I have $800 left to pay off. Should I just take this and run or try to get more for it? I think its a pretty decent offer actually.

They said it was interest lumped into the total cost. I was desperate for a mode of transportation so I took it. Its apparently a freight company who also has a lien on the moped somehow, even though I have the title, and takes $100 a month from my account each month.

Working for $13 an hour poor. Was $12 at the time actually. My credit score was ok but not enough history for the credit union to have approved me. Another year and a few thousand in credit lines later and I got approved at 6%
take the money .. you can probably get a decent amount for the wrecked scooter too (assuming it's low miles and the engine's in good shape)

Apparently the bike and the injury are being treated as separate. I'm hoping they get enough to cover the cost of the therapy and put a little bit of cash in my pocket.
They haven't told me anything really about the injury case, but since the attorney and the phys place are in each other's pockets (I suspect) then if there's not enough to pay them, they should be able to figure something out.

I'll let the attorney know. I don't want it to drag on but if I could squeeze more out of the insurance company that would be great. They had told the attorney's office they already got in touch about a settlement and they hadn't, so I have no idea how long this could drag on, but I'll see what they can do.
