The Z is a better car the Mustang really isnt. The issue with the Z is can you do a 2 seater if you can get the Z if you cant the current Genesis is more powerful than the V6 Camaro or the Turbo mustang.
And it has a very nice set of Brembos in the top trim.
I looked into this car a while ago. I concluded that if it was just a bit smaller/lighter it would be a good competitor to the Z and Mustang, except more of a sports car than a GT car, like the RX7 was. It's bigger than it looks and weighs 3500 lbs though, so I don't see why you wouldn't buy a Mustang GT or a Camaro instead.
As a note or Korean cars, Hyundais are decent these days, it's the Kias that are cheap econobox shit.
It's a simple as this: for every segment that the Koreans make a car in, there is a car made by the Americans, Germans, or Japanese that is better AND cheaper.

its pretty gewd imo. i have a 2014 2.0t manual rspec. decently fast, good on mileage when youre not leadfooting, sounds great with an open exhaust. ive had several people ask what it was because lets face it fucking no one owns one, especially so if you live in a not big city (there are literally 3 including mine in my city of 32k) so thats cool if you like a bit of attention now and then.
but the others are right, its pretty much a korean mustang although like i said i do like mine. take that as you will. aslo be aware that the tuning scene is all but nonexistant because of the lack of demand. all you can get is a $1500 piggyback ecu meant for the 10-12 models or $500-$900 canned tunes where you have to send in your ecu to be tune and wait for it to return. sucks pretty hard.

No. The Genesis is a god first attempt but it's still a shit car. Given them a decade or 2 for new generations and more refinement.
The Camaro has the best chassis.
While I don't like it, the Nissan 370Z is also a better car. My problem with the 370Z is it costs as much as a V8 Camaro.
The Mustang has a good engine but the chassis needs a lot of work.
The Camaro is the best objective compromise. The Genesis is too unreliable to be properly recommended.
Fuck I wish they didn't make the 2nd gen Genesis look so ugly. The front end and hood just looks so try-hardy. The first generation Genesis looked miles better IMO, before Hyundai decided to go with the ultra aggressive murder-face look that everybody is doing now. I really like the tame, exotic look the 2010-2012 had. If only it had the same powertrain.

Looking at OP's pic right now, and I'm honestly not seeing it. The only tryhard thing about it are those fake vents on the hood, and I can't see anything aggressive. It almost looks like a sleeper car.
I can agree the previous gen looked better though. Maybe they just wanted to seperate it from the G37?
