Then don't. The entire range of past cars is open to you. You can get a car from the 20's in good shape for less than what a new car costs.
Don't forget the "progress" UNDER the hood, too. To be exact, I mean the downsizing.
Sure, it makes more sense then those design fuckups but I'm still mad that so many beautiful engines will be gone.

Hyundai has the Advantage that their cars aren't desired by fans, and that they don't have a heritage.
So they can do unique things and try new engine options and Classis layouts.
Take the Genesis coupe, They are throwing a twin turbo v6 in it and giving AWD option on N package.
If ford were to do that to the mustang their would be backlash to it all over the Ford pages by their fans.
Hyundai don't have that fanbase from being a top automaker that stagnates the companies into churning out the same thing year after year generation after generation.
>>13978401
It's too accurate
>>13978628
>>13978636

Actually the old hyundai drive for fucking ever. The only thing that would break is fit and finish and crap like window motors.
But for a car company coming out it the only way to get into the market. And now that they are in the market they have increased quality and van do crazy shit to poke at the other car brands.
Mazda could do the same with doing unique with their cars but they dont.
Which is why they are barely selling shit well having amazing cars
>>13979309
A Ford GT with a blown GT350R motor would be amazing.
>>13979585
please leave this thread, pak hyeong, no amount of gadgets will make a hyundai a worthwhile purchase
>>13979203
Perhaps one day there will be an Ecoboost V6 Mustang, only time will tell.
>>13979300
There is no need for an AWD Mustang, it doesn't need the extra weight and does everything it needs to do without an AWD system. Also, the newer Taurus SHO is twin turbo V6 and AWD. So, there you go.
>>13979309
That would just be a Shelby GTS with a Super Snake package.
>>13979600
The GT350R doesn't have its own unique motor. It's the exact same as the base GT350.

Same, it was actually a problem recently for me.
I recently went around town to get my old man a new car (he's too busy to even buy the car, doesn't care about cars).
So his budget is up to 50, but ideally less than 40 and 35 would be sweet because the car would be paid in cash immediately.
So I start looking at options and no single fucking car makes me go "this is the car".
>SUVs
They have this idiotic new look thanks to regulations, so even though they are HUGE, they are fucking small inside, everything's cramped, and the fenders go so low they could scrap speedbumps. Touchscreens with adobe flash tier menus. Expensive and engines feel dumb as hell.
>Niche cars
Jeep, it's one of the few ones I thought "this is a car that's just a car" (super simple base trim). It has jeep tax so it's forever expensive though.
Mini, it's fucking retarded. It's fast indeed, but other than that the base model feels like a rental and the good trims feel like you're paying "cool tax". A fiesta gives me the same, I can actually read the dash, and fit four people.
Miata, dad would rather die than drive a gay flag.
>Sedans
American cars were not an option because perception was important (gotta please the clients).
European cars: premium tax, option everything and options are expensive but needed otherwise it's a fucking cab like interior.
Japanese cars: dad doesn't like them.
I mentioned the A45 but he said a hatchback looks too young for him. Says he dislike the 3 series and we agreed bmw was way too expensive for what it is.
Fucking bought an S4, only car he liked, said it's the only one that looks like a car and not a hot wheel. Steering is artificial as fuck, but other than that it's ok. The dash and anything menu wise is a fucking complicated mess. OVERSTEERING. Feels sportier than it actually is.

I doubt in over 30 years you'll be able to drive combustion engine cars.
either it will be INCREDIBLY expensive to fill up, or to insure, or plainly not legal to drive on the streets, or all of this combined.
I think the best bet would be that tinkerers of the future will probably have to swap the old shit completely with future electrics, engine inclusive.

Actually I think it will be easier to tinker with these cars in the future than it will be now because the necessary equipment will cost less and the manufacturers won't care anymore because the warranty expired long ago and nobody will try to sue them over 40 year old vehicles.
What I'm not looking forward to is millenials and /o/tists overvaluing AE86, CRX and R32s to the point where they become the new Bel-Airs and C2 Corvettes. I guarantee you when a lot of you get older, you'll be the same slobbering retards as a lot of "car-guy" boomers on TV, and you'll be arguing 'muh nismo' and 'muh vtec' like they do with 'muh hemi' and 'muh small block'.
Meanwhile, long after the koreans and chinese have basically taken over the automotive world, you'll still be calling them overpriced garbage heap cars and whine about how they don't have the 'driving feel' like your old NA MX-5 and 3000GTs do.
>>13993720
To be fair, the way cars are going, nothing will ever have the feel of an NA Miata. Most modern cars feel like you're playing a videogame, no steering feedback.
>>13993800
Sure, if you're looking at the major car brands.
