Plastics were very good and never loosened or faded in almost 20 years.
With that huge comfy dash cavity and the few well placed buttons and selectors.
Also the hidden ash tray that slowly opens when pressing the switch was really classy, and that balcony like spot right below the display.

I live in Texas. The sun is brutal here 99% of the time and I never get to even open the sunroof shade on my car. I'd literally sunburn if I did, and my A/C barely makes up for the heat even with the windows all closed.
Who said anything about black headliners or black leather? Yeah my dash is black, but it's soft touch squishy material, and my headliner and carpet is light grey and my seats are a 90's greenish grey cloth pattern. Most cars of the last 15 years or so with black interiors at least have a light upper half. I'd never buy leather in a million years either, and my windows currently let too much light in without tint, it gets pretty hot inside with just the fan on.
Sunroofs might be nice in places that get up to 80 degrees max but otherwise, no. Plus when they get old you have to worry about them sealing properly. Since I never get to use it, I'd rather have a more rigid roof, 50-100 pounds less weight, and no sealing properties. I do plan to autocross my car so it would be better without it.

If I want to open it, the options are to open one side of the latches and have it propped up (pic related), or remove it completely and throw the glass in the trunk. From my experience; yes, they can be anal about it
You can throw in a form and hope for the best, but on a general basis they are VERY relucant unless the car is older than thirty years, and even then they can often be reluctant if its RHD... still, they have become more lenient over the years, so maybe one day we'll have laws that make sense
Maybe I should make a phonecall tomorrow, ask what the possibility is for importing an AE86 from Japan, although I'd probably want a LHD one anyways

Fucking this. Old school digital dashes with the dog bone style steering wheel get me hard like nothing else.
I wish someone would make a car with that.
It'd make me all...

>How the hell is 190 horsepower FWD sleeper
190 horse from an N/A motor in 1990 was p. fucking good for it's time.
Stick it in an unassuming FWD shitbox and it doesn't look special , regardless what it says on the tin.
