First the little shit lies about 'making a clock,' and now he wants his gibsmedats.

Interesting how people are turning against him now.
>>
People only care for money at the end of the day, more news at 300
>>
>>259
This was all a publicity stunt to begin with.
I'm not surprised in the least.

This is a blog site, not a news site.

Please provide an archive link in the OP and greentext some quotes from the article.

Fuck off and learn to read, leftist.
>>
>>325
I said the same thing about huffingtonpost, which is a leftist blog site. Try to post links from more credible, less biased sources.
>>
"um you see I build CPU's and stuff"

But the question is... Does he build BARRELBOMBS?
>>
>>308
Fuck off with this shit.

I personally believe Breitbart is a credible source. If you don't like Breitbart links you are free to ignore the threads.

>"We are going to be the Huffington Post of the right," said Steve Bannon, executive chairman of Breitbart News Network. "That is our focus every day."
http://articles.latimes.com/2012/aug/01/entertainment/la-et-breitbart-20120801

Huffington Post is an opinion blog site about the news just as Breitbart is. You can personally use it, I don't care. It doesn't belong here.
>>
>>308
News sites are literally blogs for the world, what the fuck do you expect? Government-approved blogs?
>>

No, Just clocks
>>
>>387
The LA Times are not a credible source, why should I listen to what they have to say?
>>

You don't seriously think a random blogger has the same credibility as a professional journalist when advocating the same point of view, right?
>>
that's pretty silly

he's just milking it at this point, he got more than an apology
>>
I dont quite get this but so far:
>casually dismantle digital clock
>stick it in a case so it looks like an IED
>bring it to school
>get told several times to not show it around to avoid mass panic
>show it around
>get arrested for building a fake bomb on purpose
>set free because muh generalization
>move to Quatar because of muh human rights (kek, Quatar)
>demand 15mil $ compensation for muh feelings

Fucking bullshit, I didn't have a problem with this kid until then. He's been invited to the white house, facebook, etc. and he's also been given plenty of scholarships. This kid needs to sit the fuck down and shut up.

Mr. Repzion made a good video on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQw0gH5K6F8
>>
>>259
>Breitbart
This should not count as news.
This same story was covered on actual news sites, you know.
>>
>>418
He was milking it since the second it happened.
>>
>>259
This really shouldn't have been news in the first place. I mean, the police did go a bit far for arresting him but if they thought it was a bomb it was the right thing to make sure. I think Ahmed is more in the wrong at this point.
>>
>>539
OK so because brierbart covered it, it enters the realm of not news?
>>
>>259
This story of the clockmaking boy was so retarded. As a European I didn't understand any of it.
Basically a guy built a clock out of other random parts and the clock was similar to a bomb, so police investigated.
So what? Why is this important? It wasn't a bomb right?
Can some American explain?
>>
>>259
Oy vey goyim! Just reminding y'all fellas to not say anything racist in this thread because racism is not allowed on 4chan
>>
>>583
He got detained by the police I think. It's just a prime example of islamophobia, so it got a lot of press.
>>
>>605
Why is it Islamophobia?
>>
>>611
To some, it feels like there might have been a racial component because he was brown.
>>
>>605
He says as he makes a jab at the jews
>>
>>605
>>627
Oops meant to quote >>600
>>
>>624
Bha honestly it sounds like an excuse. Here in Europe if you are suspected of making a bomb police will detain you, no matter your skin color. I don't kn ow about US law though.
People are getting a bit too sensitive about racial issue in my opinion.
>>
>>637
The law is the same in the US, but anytime a person of color has an unpleasant encounter with the law, racism is always assumed by the far left
>>
Literaly Satan
>>
>>677
Oh. Why are Americans so sensitive about race? We don't have the same problem here. No one cares if a criminal is white or black. He's a criminal, period
>>
>>688
Good for you.
>>
>>308
I'd let the pretty brit boy suck my dick
>>
>>688
Race-baiters, media outlets and politicians profit greatly by acting like racism is still a major issue in the U.S. To make matters worse, our universities have started teaching Critical Race Theory, which emphasizes anecdotes over scientific research. While it's true there are racial disparities in arrest rates, they disappear when you hold all other factors constant.
>>
>>259
he deserves nothing. He is an entitled prick who got arrested for making a shitty bomb looking clock.
>>
>>600
You have two whole boards for hatespeech, /b/ and /pol/.
>>
>>754

you have two sites for safe space, reddit and tumblr
>>
>>637
The thing is that the clock looked nothing like a bomb and the kid's barely a teen.

Non-biased articles? No apparent political leanings?
>>
>>730
Shouldn't that be considered as misinformation and incitement to hate? We have laws that prohibit such things from happening. Media can't just play the race card as they see fit
>>764
I can kinda see however how a teacher might have mistaken it for a bomb initially. Police detaining someone is normal after a bomb alarm. Something similar happened here after the Paris attacks.
As for him being a kid, unfortunately doesn't make it less of a threat. Terrorists are notorious for using kids as an excuse to sneak in bombs and kill innocents (along with the unfortunate kid who most likely doesn't understand what he?s doing)
>>
>>809
>Shouldn't that be considered as misinformation and incitement to hate?

Only if it's directed towards minorities. Hating whites and cops is A-OK. Sadly, pushing the narrative that cops and whites are racist has already lead to several riots, and the resulting reduction in police patrols has caused even more black lives to be lost.
>>
>>851
Does anyone speak up against this? It sounds shady
>>
>>857
Sure, plenty of people. Even though this started out as a political issue, with the left-wing supporting Black Lives Matter, already we're starting to see democrats who are disgusted with the lies that are being perpetuated. Heck, a recent poll of black voters showed that only 37% of them support the BLM movement

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8p_NGuQq6Q
>>
>>809
>Shouldn't that be considered as misinformation and incitement to hate? We have laws that prohibit such things from happening. Media can't just play the race card as they see fit
Not in the US, which has strong speech protections.

Journalism and free speech go hand in hand. Every thread about news related topics on 4chan will always have replies that offend over sensative faggots.

"I know you are but what am I"

You're not fooling anyone that's been here for more than 30 minutes
>>

The entire purpose of him posting a link to the archive is to show that the people mainly posting links from that site you're defending are the "stormweenies" and "racists" you're accusing him of being.

>>
>>1095
I'm not that guy either
>>
>>1088
tripcodes half address the problem

the problem is that they break down because if someone wants to discredit an argument, they can simply take off their trip and strawman. so forced ids for every post are the only solution.
>>
>>1091

Yes he was.

What, you're going to PRETEND that he's serious just so you can keep this ruse going long enough? Act like an adult, at least for 5 minutes.
>>
>>1089

The only thing suggesting nazism is you accusing everyone you don't like as coming from /pol/, even someone who's trying to show you that the site you're defending is something that /pol/ users would like. You're not only hypocritical, you're probably someone who came here just to ruin a new board long enough to get banned.
>>
>>1125
Yet you are the one who links to /pol/ trying to lure people there. Don't play innnocent
>>
>>1118

No one in their right mind would suggest tripcodes as a solution to the problem, so why are you?

>>1096

IDs wouldn't be such a bad idea.

I was going to post a screenshot of this thread to prove I wasn't a samefag, but I couldn't. Honestly I'm glad I'm not. Rather than proving yourself to be a different person to a shitposter, just ignore them entirely.
>>
>>1130
>Rather than proving yourself to be a different person to a shitposter, just ignore them entirely.
That will never work with newfags unfortunately
>>
>>1130
because it's the closest thing to a solution we have as users without admin intervention.
>>
>>259
relevant to this thread:

>>1111
>>
>>1088
Samefaggotry cannot be disproven, only proven.
>>
>>1089
It sounds like what you want is a board where everyone has the same views as you.

I really hope this board doesnt become /pol/ 2.0 but disagreements have to happen for accurate conclusions regarding recent events to form.
>>
>>1149
Yes this board needs to be a safe space for views opposing /pol/, otherwise it's unfair because they have a board and I don't
>>
>>1149
only if the disagreements lead to intelligent discourse rather than one group shouting another down
>>
>>1130
>I was going to post a screenshot of this thread to prove I wasn't a samefag
I hate when people do this, it's not as if it's proof and yet it convinces people.
>>
>>1128
He linked to an archive of /pol/, displaying everytime breitbart was mentioned. He didn't link to /pol/ and nothing suggests he's trying to lure people into a board everyone knows about. Is this really your issue?
>>
>>1170
I don't trust him. I think he is just pretending to not be a nazi while trying to convince people to become nazis
>>
>>1138
IDs are the closest thing to a solution without admin intervention.

>>1149

While this board still has that new babyass smell, maybe we can stop with this kind of posting:

>Good opinion
I agree, pat on the back.

>Disagreements
"You just want a hugbox >stop liking what I don't like"

Because the irony i find in posting this is that while accusing someone of wanting a hugbox, you're creating one by bashing people who post criticism.
>>
>>1153
I really hope you're trolling. If not I strongly recommend going to another website with stricter moderation.

>>1155
The lack of flags and enforcement of the "no blatent racism" rule should make /news/ far less shit posty than /pol/.
>>
>>1176
Why would I be trolling? I don't want /pol/ opinions here. They need to be banned.
>>
>>1175
The board doesn't have IDs......

That would require an admin turning them on.

>>1176
Unlikely but I hope you're right. Sometimes the flagposting is the best part of pol tbrtty (to be truthful to you)
>>
>>1180

They're not going to be banned and accusing everyone of being a racist nazi /pol/ stormweenie is not going to do anything. You're actually breaking more rules than the people you're accusing of being /pol/ users by shitposting and raging about it.

>>1181
I'm SUGGESTING that IDs would be a good idea, not saying that we have IDs. Why would I be? We all see that there's no IDs here. Why didn't you come to the conclusion that you interpreted my post incorrectly when you assumed that I was claiming this board had IDs? I'm not trying to nitpick, but I just simply don't understand a thought process as convoluted.
>>
Let's just call /news/ /bluepillpol/
>>
>>1190
Ok I'll stop. sorry
>>
>>1190
I said trips are the best thing we have without admins changing settings

You (or 'someone') said that was retarded and that
>IDs are the closest thing to a solution without admin intervention.

I was just pointing out that the statement is wrong. Turning on IDs means the admins would have to do something.
>>
>>1197
That's a good way to start pointless conflicts.
>>
>>1180
>opinions I disagree with should be banned.
That's anti free speech. The definition of "politically incorrect" changes over time. At one point it was politically incorrect to suggest slavery was immoral.
>>
>>1197
You knew this was going to happen. This was always just going to be either /pol/ appropriated, or filled with idiots screaming "pol did it" in every post.

I'm sorry we're not linking to Gawker and putting up trigger warnings, anon.
>>
>>1746
That anon's post was only expressing dissatisfaction with the current state of the board. Nothing in his post indicates his political leanings, and the type of baiting seen in your reply is what is bringing this board down to the low quality that anon was complaining about.
>>
>>1746
You have an equivalent board on there. Why do you want a hugbox so bad? People who disagree with you want their own board. Also the difference is that these people are actually willing to have a polite discussion with you. The only thing this shows is how successful this board will be and how much you guys are willing to blindly attack anyone rather than form a decent opinion. The line between /pol/ and /news/ is already becoming clearer and clearer.

>>
>>1175
>criticism
Often that criticism is as lousy as the inevitable response. I don't like the "hugbox," bullshit myself, but there are a distressingly high amount of people who seem to think the concept of criticism does not entail counter-criticism itself.

>>1180
You're never going to get rid of /pol/ opinions. You can try to get rid of the shitposting, lazy insults, memes and blatant instances of racism, but what you're suggesting is simply banning other opinions incongruent to your own.

>>1270
Would you for a moment not consider Breitbart a source for those on the Right despite protestations from moderate voices from the Right?

I'm not trying to insinuate anything here, I just grow tired of people insisting the line of demarcation between themselves and the fringes that align with them be respected while often ignoring the same when it comes to their traditional opponents.

>>2274
I would consider this a good thing if it were not for the unfortunate posts I've seen from both GamerGhazi and SRS in regards to posting profusely on /his/.

No anon, I'm trying to save you. Wake up and realize that you are backward and wrong about everything. Your teenage rebelism is leading you into racism and hatred founded only on objective facts, without any thought or truth to them.

Don't end up doing something you regret. Come back to the light.
>>
>>259
Your post is Islamophobic.
That's racist.
>>
>>2608
Nah. Let's assume you're not baiting: even if you're trying to turn me back from /pol/, a group I don't even belong to, seeing as how I'm something of a socialist, appealing to Gawker isn't the way to do it at all. In fact I'd argue you're doing a marvelous job of rather the opposite, really.
>>
>>2616
I don't understand.
>>
>>2626
Gawker is a shitstain, anon. There's the Hulk Hogan thing, which I've already mentioned. On the other hand, they were outraged in the extreme because a woman's photos were leaked. This was obviously different from what they did because... uh...?
There's the unpaid interns lawsuit. Or the act that made them famous, the Stalker thing. I'm sure I could find more, but I won't bother since my point is hopefully clear.
Gawker is an example of the worst the Left has to offer even for Leftists like me, hiding behind their lofty ideals to disguise immoral acts. That's not to say the right doesn't have similar media, though, don't get me wrong.
Quoting their newspaper doesn't strengthen your position, it actively discredits it.
>>
>>2649

I always knew breitbart was nothing more than British fox news, seeing them use phrases like "sources close to the individual tell us..." without actually citing a source was a red flag for shut journalism. The only reason people in here give a shit about it is because they support gamergate manbabies.

Milo couldn't even list the specs to his own computer and has shittalked gamers in the past and is somehow their tech writer. He's a shit excuse for a person and a journalist. I find it so fucking ironic that the people who say they want better journalist ethics suck this guys dick.
