yes actually, becase Twenty-One Pilots along with hundreds of other "indie" bands are influenced by Animal Collective. you have to understand AnCo spearheaded most trends in the indie movement.

Of course they aren't the same fucking band. Animal Collective are descended directly from the gods themselves, meanwhile Twenty One Punklets is just worthless emo bullshit designed to appeal to high school girls who just hit their periods.
So no, a really terrible band doesn't remind me of one of the best bands of this century.
