Hey /mu/, is there such a thing as jazz that is relaxing and calming and soothing?
If so, please recommend me some.
>pic is just for attention
I'm totally serious. Don't dismiss this album just because memes. It might not be excellent or a masterpiece, as most drones would call it, but it has its moments.

Also, search for cool jazz. Bill Evans, Ben Webster, early Davis, Gill Evans, Jim Hall, Chet Baker, list goes on
The Breathing Effect - Mars is a very bad place for love

you must not listen to much jazz
Jazz can be many things, lots of it is frantic and unnerving
Cool Jazz is the "stereotypical" smooth and relaxing type

off topic from the thread, but:
What jazz albums/musicians feature insane drum solos, I am looking for balls to the wall mad drum solos, and drumming in general.

I appreciate you.

That other nigga that replied to you knows jack shit about drum solos.
Listen to anything by Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, Eric Harland, Jack DeJohnette, Mark Guilliana, Brian Blade, Chris Dave (with Glasper Trio and in the 90s, not with Mint Condition)
That'll give you a solid place to start. Tony is king. Anyone who says buddy rich is isn't a drummer (and if they are, they're fucking noobs who haven't dived into the rabbit hole yet)
