I think that's a strange association. Radiohead and Death Grips, but maybe it works because this is /mu/ and that's all we talk about.
The problem with complaining about not releasing music frequently is that Radiohead doesn't need to, while Death Grips, I imagine, are not exactly the wealthiest musicians, they subsist on marketing stunts.
Radiohead though, maybe this is an attempt to stay relevant? I wouldn't say they're as cool as they were.

I'm just comparing them loosely in terms of their "unconventional" release strategies, which usually equates to doing little cryptic shit but not actually shedding any light on when or even if to expect new music until it actually drops.
I just think it's way more fucked up for radiohead to play with their millions and millions of diehard fans like this considering they're perfectly aware how starved we are for another great album. Not to mention their momentous bungling of ticket sales for their tour which left tons of fans having to pay thousands of dollars per ticket. Yeah, I get that they're trying to build hype but they're literally the last band on earth that really needs to. It's just really unnecessary and cruel teasing to my eyes.
