Please let this live and take attention away from the guy spamming anti-noise threads.

I just released this, it's a continuation of my track released in the comp earlier this year:

Is anything else by Kazumoto Endo good? While You Were Out is fantastic, but I haven't really listened to anything else in his discography.

Also is Hijokaidan the last major Japanoise act to not be turned in to a meme?

Stop this shit. Keep shitty projects out. Soundcloud and Bandcamp are mediums, not people. Fuck off. If you have a project that you're actually invested in, post it WITH words about it and start a discussion.

Amplified Humans Fest, I mean it's called a "fest" but it looks more like a big show at some art/music/community space

Aaron Dilloway, John Wiese, The Rita, and Richard Ramirez are all on the bill so I'm dying to make it out to this:

>>
is there really any quality control in the noise community?

There are some noise albums I can see the appeal to (while you were out and 1930 come to mind) but it seems like a lot of noise fans will eat up anything (ie the gerogerigegege)
>>
>>64398997
and if that guy's just fucking with us then hey this goes out to any other new noise friends :^) welcome to the club

Justin Bennett - Noise Map
>https://mega.nz/#!UU8GmByK!t3MkZwO96FHnG1LncRb052E5p4sfMLAvbKIS4rNwiL4
320 mp3 + PDF booklet
>noise, manipulated field recordings
>80 page PDF booklet of art, poetry, and essays on topics related to noise and urban environments

I meant to upload this a couple days ago when I had just listened to/read it but uni got in the way so my memory may be a bit fuzzy, forgive me. This release is reportedly made of a number of field recordings of urban environments, however the sound itself is abstracted into a series of dynamic noise pieces. There are some parallels to be made to Francisco Lopez' absolute noise ensemble in that this release has a similar sense of structure although it's much less impressive in scale and Bennett lacks Lopez' fondness for near-inaudible sections of music. Conceptually there are also similarities to Toshiya Tsunoda in that Bennett seems particularly interested in sound as a function of the space it's recorded in and using that idea as a way of mapping places in the abstract. However, Noise Map is far more listenable of a release than the anything put out by either of those two artists. Most songs are of a fairly standard length and Bennett does a good job of keeping the music consistently engaging.
I did not find most of the writing in the booklet to be particularly interesting, the essays were only occasionally insightful and most of the poetry felt fairly self-indulgent. on the other hand the visual art was quite interesting. I'm particularly fond of the aesthetics of infrastructure, city planning, and urban environments so his work struck a chord with me.
