What albums do you credit for helping you pass over to "the other side" of music?

between the buried and me - colors
Used to be an edgy teen who listened to metalcore almost exclusively, then heard that and started branching out.
If you don't think Koenigs is his best you have been reading too much pitchfork

Definitley mezzanine by massive attack.
I listened to like 3 artists before that.
Constantly.
And just shit on all other music

lmao its obviously zauberberg
konigsforst feels too derivative of zauberberg and doesnt have as much of a storyline as it either
Honestly Kid A.
Unlike anything I'd ever heard before.
I came from Fun. and MCR.
Went to /mu/ and of course this was the first album I heard.

10/10 release

The Nah und Fern master of Pop is excellent. The clarity of the water in tracks 1, 2 and 4 really gets me going.
>>64391675
you can always listen to his shitty ruckverzauberung 10 and pop ambient stuff lmao

>getting mad at an artist because there music isn't on Smegify
There are no words.
A buddy showed me Godspeed's Slow Riot in high school and I loved it. Still one of my favorite albums/EPs to this day.
After that, I immediately started listening to bands like Sunn, American Football, etc. It just kind of happened all at once. Wasn't a gradual change. Went from Hollywood Undead to Swans in like, a week.

the mastering is too loud-smudged for me personally, furthermore the tracks on the other releases have changed orders and are sometimes entirely different
I really think he damaged his legacy for being george lucas
thank god for what . cd
>>64391739
it astounds me how bad a lot of the pop ambient stuff is
>>64391750
The only way to get the original releases legally is to pirate them
I would be ecstatic if he even reissued the originals on CD / Vinyl, not necessarily spotify
>>64391791
> legally is to pirate them
wow im retarded
I meant to say that there are no ways to get the original releases and that you have to pirate them to get them
for me there were a quite a few. But Blind Guardian showed me a side of music I didn't think existed when I was 15.
