I know how you feel, Anon. It's hard at first but it gets easier the more you practice, so just practice more, seriously. It's easier if you already have the song mastered on the instrumental level.

Try to not play a wind instrument, I tried playing trombone and singing and it didn't work, maybe you have the same issue?
if you watch closely most of them don't. they stop to sing. but it's all about practice and knowing your instrument well.
