Can someone please explain why this album/band is so highly praised on /mu/? I just don't get it.

it's extremely catchy/singable/anthemic, while on top of that also being emotive and sort of ambitious, but to most it's just nostalgic

That's all there is too it. /mu/ has a soft spot for nostalgia, this is a really decent rock album with some catchy songs, and it got lumped in with emo which means /mu/ can play the "it's a great album that was recieved negatively and overlooked because of the shitty fanbase" card. Those three things are pretty much enough to make any album perfect around here
6/10 album with a few 8/10 songs

Favorite band as a 5th grader. They're all respectable musicians. Don't listen to them anymore but no longer deny if I ever liked them.
