Days Are Gone is better than Have You In My Wilderness and Divers combined though.
>>64111859
Haven't heard that album, but Tragedy and Have One On Me are hard to beat
Grouper is pretty good
>inb4 Grimesfags shit up this thread
Her 00s outputs are pretty much flawless
>>64111376
Bob Dylan is pretty simplistic and dumbed down in comparison

i love so many Grouper releases. I just wish Liz released more often.
What did you think of Helen - The Original Faces?
>>64112266
You sound like you have only listened to blood on the tracks and his protest music
>>64112691
i could agree with you, if anyone in this thread actually were true to the topic, except maybe >>64112783
women have a different approach to making music than men do
some men value music as an art form for self expression. this is the true definition of an artist. very few men are like this therefore very few real musicians exist
unlike men, all women have ulterior motives for making music and pursuing a career in music. if it isn't for fame or fortune then it's to appear cool or hip. and if it isn't that then it's because of some horribel trauma that happened to them as a kid and they use music as a fashion accessory i.e. "look at how damaged i was as a kid and how im using music to represent how my dad raped or beat me" etc...
i've yet to listen to a single woman musician who's music is 100% devoid of ulterior motives
>>64111137
julia is so beautiful
>>64113908
shut the fuck up, idiot
In doing my best not to let her fanbase stigmatize it, I actually really enjoyed Bestial Burden.
>>64111859
It's a good album. But I dunno about that. I have a crush on Alana dough

You people really need to listen to Thriller again to understand why HAIM is classic and why the others aren't on their level
>>64113908
Wow. Someone's got a lot of upvotes on the red pill. go to bed, anon. It's a school night.

>>64115444
m8, Forever and Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' are practically the exact same song. I don't see why you wouldn't like it.

>her follow up is shit
in b4 >MUHH RAIIIN
>>64113908
Come on though, you're probably not a girl, or a musician, you have no idea how they think. That's a really broad generalization and a stupid one at that.
>>64115545
they are manufactured shit meant to be played at department stores, why would i like that?
>>64116677
What does that have to do with the fact that it sounds exactly like Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'? Don't let social stigma keep you from enjoying something that otherwise would appeal to you (you can tell that HAIM and tHeir producers were catering to MJ and Prince fans on Days Are Gone) Also, Basia and Swing Out Sister are played a grocery stores and department stores too. Their albums are far better than anyone's mentioned in this thread.
is that a sex sound at the beginning of horns surrounding me? what is the purpose of that?
Anais Mitchell is quite possibly one of the best lyricists around right now. Hadestown is amazing. I don't even understand how /mu/ doesn't talk about her, everyone that I've introduced to her loves her
