Took me about 8-10 months. The contract at my job had ended around that time and by then I was able to sustain myself much thanks to my Electric Pickle residency. The amount of connections and networking I get from that residency is incredible.

You naturally have to be talkative and be able to handle yourself well in social situations in order to make good connections with that. Also people REALLY like how I play so they generally come to me and I just am likeable to them and easy to work with.
On top of that, I'm very responsive when it comes to emails, texts, phone, ETC. Which is very rare in Miami. Everyone is extremely flaky here. That only helps me with getting clients and keeping them. Helps maintain my income as well.
