NLDW is way more stripped back and better in my opinion. TMS feels more like a collection of really good singles than an album to me

frank zappa's jazz from hell. hell, it took me a while before i even liked night school.. now i'd consider that one of my favorite songs from him. but i think what helped make it click was picturing it as a bitchin soundtrack to a SNES game.
i'm still trying to get into civilization phase iii though. once n-lite gets going it's neat hearing all the sounds, but it's still too much
Fucking Grateful Dead and hippie jam rock of the 90's. Most of those guys had drugs. I liked drugs. Fucking haaaaate the dead. I do own all Dick's Pick's. That's 1000 hours of their music probably. I pick a random show and just hit play, All sounds the same.

In the 1990's, there was a popular upswell of shitty hippie jam bands like Phish, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler, Dave Matthew's Band, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Reverend Horton Heat, etc. This shitpile music eventual morphed into the shitpile modern bluegrass movement.
