I love how Goldie looks like an absolute mentalist with the teeth and his raging banter but he's blatantly a fucking genius, he dated Bjork and got an MBE for fucks sake - incredible
Shame about his son though
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2A7HgL_qcNE such a hero
only a MAD MAN would do a 60-minute dnb track
pretty good tho
>>63327841
>Shame about his son though
What happened?
oh yeah its alright mate sounds a bit like goldie
Daily reminder Goldie is a waifu slayer
>>63327776
pwopa geeza
>>63330159
went to prison for muder
Has he done anything of note since 1996. Saturnz return was an example of why cocaine and making albums is a bad idea and his performance on eastenders was sub par
>>63330159
Got in a gang, stabbed a guy in another gang, got life for it.
>>63330193
damn he got the vintage stussy
>>63330215
>>63330263
So Goldie was a terrible father
>>63331006
why?
>>63331006
do you blame your dad for the fact you turned into an antisocial dweeb that browses mongolian cave painting image boards
>>63331177
yes
proper ledge
>>63330193
>she's fucking a nigger!
>>63330952
prime borkpussy
goldie is the man
>>63327841
Yea but he's a shit producer. He essentially just collaborates with actual producers to make shit
Though I'm curious.
What does /mu/ consider to be the best jungle album?
>>63330257
Not especially outside a couple of tracks (including a particularly good one on a AKO Beatz release). Also I assume he is still Metalheadz's boss and they have managed to pull off a spectacular revival since 2012.
Although to be perfectly honest as good as Goldie is, he wouldn't have got anywhere with 4 Hero and Rob Playford's help. Playford in particular is the reason why Timeless ended up being so good.
>>63330215
Aw. That's sad, poor Goldie.
>be goldie
>reproduce a son
>son joins gang
>stabs someone to death
>gets awarded MBE
>services to music and young people
>services to young people
>young people
HUEK.
Made some fucking good music though.
>>63331397
Ignoring the obligatory
>Jungle
>album
thing, pic related has to be the best. Parallel Universe is the closest thing to it but even that isn't on it's level (and Parallel Universe is better than most things).

goldie cover-core
>>63331369
>prime borkpussy
lol
But yeah in my view artistic geniuses are highest tier humans and it's a good thing when they hook up. Generally, I would have people for the most part retain old lineages for the sake of aesthetic variety and culture, but when it comes to artists, the most talented should marry and create a dynastic talent caste. And Bjork has always had good taste in artistic men.
>>63331533
Such a great album. Listened to it again just a few hours ago.
>>63331533
>>63331560
any of you guys have a link for this? I've been meaning to get into jungle, and breakbeat in general
>>63331545
Neither byurk or goldie are "artistic geniuses" haha
>>63327776
I do really thing dating Bjork is the only good thing this asshole has ever done in his life essentially.
>>63329118
Don't forget that he made a dnb track without any percussion for the first 20 minutes
MOOOOTHEEEER
>>63331629
Actually Bjork is, you dumb.
>>63331604
I can't remember where exactly but I'm sure it's in one of these.

And also there's loads more Jungle and other Breakbeat subgenres in there (well, mainly two other Breakbeat subgenres).
BOND?
>>63331397
>>63331533
Have to go with this
>>63331629
Bjork certainly is. Goldie has vision, for sure, which is one of the talents.
>>63331533
I think I agree with this choice.
But yeah, of course it's definitely not an album genre.
>>63331959
Well, it's more of a proper album so there is that, but I found it being a double album made it drag on way, way too much and I kind of felt it got bogged down in it's own "look at how much like Jazz I am guys" aesthetic. I think pic related managed to achieve a much better balance between the two and it came out in the same year as New Forms (and featured a Roni Size remix on it).
>>63332086
I don't even find it all that jazzy honestly. Size has put out shit like It's a jazz thing before this and lots of dnb uses more obvious jazz piano samples. Usually it sounds like crap because they use modern intense drums with it.
Goldie knew what he was doing with "intelligent' Jungle, I can't similar stand stuff like Photek.
>>63331533
A runner up for this is Black Secret Technology
>>63331959
>>63332086
Don't really like either of these desu
>>63332342
Intelligent is such a weird term to use for any music genre but I think one of the earliest people to start doing something a bit different with the genre was DJ Crystl.

Paradox perfected it though.
