provided we don't all die, will radiohead be considered dadrock in 30+ years? and what will current dadrock be called? grandpa rock?
it's already dadrock
molesterrock because all current radiohead fans will become molesters
Dadrock was originally conceived to describe the outdated, default hard rock that the "wrong generation" kids considered "real music". So, for instance, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, etc. would be considered dadrock, but new bands that do that outdated sound like Wolfmother, Kadavar, and other assorted hard rock revival bands can also be considered dadrock. But of course, newfags and memesters distorted the term to describe any sort of music that is old. Don't perpetuate the memes OP.

It will be, I think. Dadrock isn't automatically bad.
Is weezer dadrock yet?
>>63260597
>radiohead isn't dadrock

Pejorative terms like this are mostly useless. If it's good, it's good; if it's not, it's not. That's the sensibility you need to have.
Now, what GOOD means, precisely, is a whole other can of worms, and something a talented musician can make a career out of.

wasn't implying that dadrock is bad at all like, but I guess not everything needs to be labelled

Hands down, funniest meme of the week
being the most important band of the last 30 years, it is already a classic, and it is already dadrock
>>63261235
Should be in 3 years
The National is dadrock right?
so is The Walkmen
>>63261091
can rock really be called "dood" or "dad" ?
>>63261728
This. The term literally has no use other than to condescend music for being older than 10 or so years in order to give credibility to newer music. What a shitty meme.

dood rock lmao
