There are points in MPP that sometimes just seem kinda out of place to me or just some tracks that kinda get in the way. Painting With I can listen to fully from front to back without feeling want for more. The only song I am really not too fond of is Recycling. MPP at times can feel pretty drawn out for a pop album with songs like Daily Routine (which I LOVE don't get me wrong but that ending is just a bit too much) and Guys Eyes and some others I can't recall at the moment. The concepts and sounds on Mpp are good but they felt TOO fleshed out. I like the more slap in the face style of Painting With. Its like getting run over by the Further bus. Its sounds and themes are very nostalgic to me and it just has a fully cohesive concept behind it. Its essentially a commentary on society through the philosophy and aesthetic of Dadaism and cubism. Mpp was just a lot of really nice sound reverberated love and family songs.

i enjoyed this album back in 2009. I didn't thought of it as amazing, but it was nice. Haven't heard the latest animal collective records tho.
Since you guys are still talking about this album so often in this place, i'm going to listen to it for the 1st time since 2009. See if it still holds up.

The ending of Daily Routine is one of my favourite parts on the album! I really enjoy it for those more ambient parts

Yeah, let us know how your perspective on the album has changed (if at all)
One of my favoritr albums, but the reverb makes it feel slightly dated. Maybe Ive just listened to it too much.
