Can you please explain how the sentence is meaningless? It makes perfect sense in the concept of the track, in which the musician sees himself as an unloved child. I think that is a very common theme to explore and has been done tons of times previously without anyone complaining. The audience laughter makes perfect sense once you comprehend the previous point. I don't understand what you are complaing about. The only coherent statement in your argument is that you find the voice of the singer annoying. That is perfectly fine, considering music is art and art is subjective.

Here is another problem. It doesn't satisfy your personal wish of it "going somewhere", which is not a good enough reason to discredit a musical piece for everyone else.

Especially when even compared to other bands of their own genre they don't have as much appeal. Like even people who don't like post rock probably would realize how much work and effort was put into GY!BE. Swans sound like they do real specific music for a real specific crowd, which is fine and all but there's no reason to act like it's "superior".
