This is as good as ambient music gets. Remember that, you contrarian faggots.
*does kickflip* but that's not *insert cool ambient album*

>pseudo-ambient for people who don't like ambient
Both great albums, but you're completely wrong.
Then again, I'm a pleb because mine is Eno.
This isn't Eno
damn you guys really only know about 6 ambient albums based on what you post here
In a Silent Way isn't even ambient and it's still a better ambient album than anything posted in here
>>62580084
Back off Satan! Do not influence my children!
AMEN
>>62581301
not ambient, closer to vaporwave/glitch
>>62581301
I like this album alright but how can you honestly believe it's the best at anything?
>>62581599
>not ambient album
>great ambient album
wat
>>62581516
How the fuck is SAW2 pseudo-ambient and not real ambient, dumbass
absolutely. one of the best ambient albums I've ever heard. from start to finish, it's just all fantastic and so colorful, and not many ambient albums showcase that kind of compositional skill unfortunately.
I would love a SAW3 but Richard sold out after SAW2 (except for druqks) so that's unlikely to ever happen. shame.
>>62581301
lmao
>>62581516
do you know what pseudo means because I don't think you do retard
>>62581524
most tracks on this album aren't straight ambient, but it's a great album for sure
Or Substrata
This genre was perfected right out of the gate
>>62582117
album duh
>>62582154
don't do that
>>62582117
Ain't that the truth.
Stars of the Lid are my favourite ambient artist, but I don't know much about the genre.
Who else can you dudes recommend if I like SotL?
>>62582239
I don't listen to a whole lot of drone music but I think you would enjoy keith fullerton whitman
'let's post the same albums over and over again to make it seem like we're into a genre we're quite clearly not!'
take your psuedo-intellectual bullshit and shove it. liking stars of the lid and tim hecker does not make you an ambient music fan.
>>62582449
You sound a tad bitter my friend, especially when the Stars of the Lid anon is asking for more recommendations. You should masturbate to the picture you posted you'll feel better.
>>62582449
Dont post your kpop-bullshit outside of the containment thread
>>62582449
you're clearly not one either
>stars of the lid, aphex twin, brian eno, OPN, gas, biosphere, the list could literally go on...
>>62582449
this guy's right. listen to some Woob or some Time Machines. Not the first release you hear of.
>>62582449
your intuitive displacement is showing. might want to work on that before someone calls you an idiot, idiot.
also
>pseudo-intellectual
there it is. you might not realize this, but saying pseudo-intellectual in this context automatically creates the notion that intelligence is required to listen to and enjoy ambient music in the first place, which is simply not true, and you wouldn't have to have someone explain this to you if you knew what you were talking about, which you "clearly" don't.
how has this not been posted yet?
>>62580084
> as good as ambient music gets
so I guess it's safe to declare all ambient music unworthy of attention
Who the fuck has sat through all 4 hours 55 minutes of this bastard?
>>62582996
I've only listened to Structures From Silence recently but thanks for this I'll be on the lookout for it.
>>62580084
This is an incredible ambient album. Not sure what the point of this thread is though. Are you implying I can't also love ambient albums of other types such as Tired Sounds of Stars of the Lid, or Time Machines, or Phaedra? Cause I love all those ambient albums too.
>>62580084
>Stone in focus
Such an incredible track, this is what being God must feel like.
Why is ambient so fucking good?
>>62583319
hell yeah man, one of my favorites
although it's excluded from all CD issues of the album, there DOES exist a CD mastering out there on some V/A album. I'd upload and share it but I'm on a bad connection right now.
Anyone knowing where this tune is from ?
I read "afffffex" on a comment so I can only suppose it's from him?

Does /mu/ love Oöphoi?

Empty City by Tor Lundvall is a lovely album.

I'd recommend going with Dreamtime Return next. It's pretty revelationary.
>>62583407
If anyone wants the version of Stone in Focus that's on the V/A CD (Excursions in Ambience Vol. 3 is the CD BTW), I have it in FLAC and can convert to whatever you want.
Tim Hecker is better than anything posted so far.
>>62581524
Not really ambient...
>>62581614
This

I think most people here are proficient in the art of soulseek, bub.
>>62583669
I'd like a v0 if you will
>>62583755

>>62583692
Hecker has yet to release a truly bad album
>>62583692
Welcome, new friend
>>62583721
This one's a weird one. The main FLAC rip going around has one track with some errors. I'm sure you can guess which one that ended up being. The copy I have is from What, and it's definitely a different rip.

The .mp3 is V0, the .flac is from the CD. Track name is #19 because it's technically untitled, like every track on SAWVol.2 except Blue Calx, and it was Track 19 on the few Vinyl issues it was on (UK I think?).
