It's 1967
it's 2016 tho
I wonder what music will sound like 49 years from now?
John Lennon is going to be shot and killed on December 8, 1980. Cap this post.
Why is Warhol pushing that shitty band? They sound like they recorded that album in a garage.

Watch out for that band from England that have that song about how many miles they can see. They are dangerous. I saw them in concert, and I can honestly say I feared for my safety and well being. I know that rock concerts are supposed to be exciting with an element of danger, but these guys have so much pent up energy, they break all their instruments at the end of their show. I can't believe they're gonna be on The Smother's Brothers variety show.
>>62469275
which band?
Has anybody heard that new band that has the old guitar player from John Mayall's Blues Breakers playing for them? Man, that's some far out stuff. They take old blues songs, and take them in a totally different, unexpected direction, but in a good way. I think they're called Milk, or something related to a dairy product. I can't remember, but mark my words, they're gonna make an impact on the rest of this decade.
>>62467581
Pft like anyone would kill a beatles
>>62467581
>27 years old
>loved by millions as part of one of the most beloved bands of the decade
he'll be fine
Any heard of this weird Krautrock business? Seems like their is some tight stuff coming out of W. Berlin.
AOTY
There's this exciting, new band made up of UCLA film students who are out of this world. I haven't seen them yet, but a friend of mine in L.A. tells me that the lead singer is dangerous and unpredictable. They're supposed to have an album out soon, and from what I've heard, the take the best elements of rock and jazz, and fuse them together. The singer even recites poetry to some of the songs like the beatniks did years ago. I hope they're literate enough to know their Shakespear and Greek tragedies.
>rock music
enjoy your bandwagon, plebs
Hey, dudes
Oh, and dudettes, I guess
Have you wonderful balls of light had your auras penetrated by the infinite love of the Grateful Dead yet?
This music is better than sex, man.
Not as good as, like, sex and some mary jane, but it does come close.
You guys gotta check em out, man. The Grateful Dead are, like, the pinnacle of musical perfection.
Anyways, peace.
To all living things
Which is, like, everything, maaan.

>>62469473
Man, I used to catch those guys all the time when they were known as The Warlocks, and played at Ken Kesey's parties. Those were some great parties, but you had to be careful of how much punch you drank. I never had a bad time, but things could get interesting real fast.
God, will Stanley Kubrick ever make a picture that's worthwhile?
>>62469538
Imagine if pic related is all the Smile we get for, say, 37 years...
Remember only 3 years ago when we were listening to jazz and rock n roll, and now all of a sudden we're listening to psychedelic rock? It's a wild decade, man.
>>62469566
This is now a negro waifu thread.
>>62469510
I liked it. It reminded me of a more playful, whimsical Donavan, but some of those songs do get a little far out. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll last.

Yeah, pic related will clearly be the household name in years to come.
I just hope this stereo fad will end. Who in their right mind would pay a lot of money for some silly gimmick?
Just to warn you guys, I know an opinionated Italian who just turned twelve. Prepare /mu/ for a teenage edgelord starting next year.
>>62469566
>waifuing some shitty model who can't even write her own songs
this bitch is a product, nothing more
sure she's got a passable voice but if you put her on an album of her own and took away all her writers and cover songs i guarantee we'd all see how talentless she really is

That's an old-looking 12-year old
Who are these "Mothers of Invention" trying to copy Dylan by packaging two records in one album?
Does this Zappa character honestly think this idea of a "concept album" is a good idea? Most people listen to albums for the SONGS not for some overarching message. If I wanted that, I'd read a goddamned book.
Who in the right mind would mix rock and operas to make so-called "rock operas?" Does he think he's cute? Also, fusing rock, jazz, and western classical? Really? What kind of progression could come from that?
Does he think any of these ideas will catch on? I think he sucks.
>>62467475
What do you guys think about that young English guitar prodigy Ritche Blackmore and his band? It seems to me he's wasting his talent with these people

I thought I knew all the good bands that most people don't know about, like Cream, and The Who, but THIS.......... wow, man! Far out! I wonder what kind of show he puts on. I gotta check him out when he comes to town. I hope he doesn't open for some lame ass teeny bopper act, like The Monkees. Those suburban squares just won't be able to dig where he's coming from!
>>62475276
the monkees are better than hendrix
>>62473273
Lot's of great stuff happening in England that most Americans don't know about. There's that one band called John's Children that out Who's The Who. I just saw them open for The Who in Europe, and The Who didn't even dare come on the stage when John's Children finished their set.

Anyone hear of this new band, the Death Grips? It's a black man who yells instead of sings, a pretty talented drummer, and some cat who takes parts of other recordings and uses them in their music.
Lol, listen to this shit, guys. This guy won't get anywhere in life.
Guys can we all agree this is the greatest work of aural art of the 20th century?

Guys, dudes, friends, have you heard of this, this new Bowie dude? Maan, I can't tell if he's trying to like, irritate my eardrums and interfere with my psychological processes. He'll never make the spotlight, I guarantee it.
>>62487860
He's an Anthony Newley wannabe, but I thought 'We Are Hungry Men' was pretty neat. If he keeps doing weird shit like that hell be fine.
