College student here. Gonna have a hell of a lot of homework this semester and I was wondering, what does /mus/ listen to while it does homework?

Nothing. If you can do your homework when you're listening to music then your classes aren't hard enough.
I generally listen to Tim Hecker, Boards of Canada, Or Gas while doing work. Usually stuff that you can listen to in the background without it getting distracting. Also love Tame Impala.

I have a cumulative 3.96 GPA. The only reason it's not 4.0 is that I got an A- in one of the most difficult classes that's offered. Nothing has been this difficult for me. Also, I can multitask like a boss and do like 5 things at once.
Thanks for all the suggestions, writing them down and I'm gonna give them all a go. Got any more?

Autechre, Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin, Arc Vel, Monolake.. IDM and ambient stuff. It's really good thinking music for me. Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works 85-92 got me through my second year of college, I swear. I distinctly remember teaching myself math and grooving to this.
If you like this sort of stuff, holler. I'll happily rec more,
I can only listen to music when I'm doing shit busywork assignments
And even then it has to be something without vocals and nothing too immersive

objectively speaking, you are worse at any given task while multitasking as opposd to dedicating your entire focus to that task. This is verified peer reviewed science Im talking about here.

Bragging about a near 4.0 when you're not studying anything difficult is offensive to actual students. If you were attending a serious school that simply wouldn't be possible

This guy's absolutely right.
I could never do homework while listening to music
maybe once or twice but only with REALLY minimalist stuff
