Listening to this for the first time, holy fuck. I love this, ITCOTCK and Red, is there anything else in their discog this good???

Can you please stop posting like an underage b&?
Discipline is another good one. I'd say ItCotCK, Larks tongues, Red, and Discipline are the King Crimson essentials

80s king crimson is their best era in my opinion
Listen to discipline, beat, and three of a perfect pair

Is that as proggy as the 70s stuff? I've heard they took some cues from bands like Talking Heads but I can't remember when they started doing that
Poseidon is better than ItCotCK
SABB is great
discipline is great
Lizard is at once amazing and mediocre

Starts with discipline although has more new wave influences while still maintaining as much prog as usual
Beat is similar to discipline with better lyrics and amazing instrumentation
Three of a perfect pair is more proggy than the other 2 and more hard hitting songs with awesome solos

All King Crimson albums are good, apart from the "big four" (ITCOTCK, LTIA, Red and Discipline), they're all underrated.

Dat touchstyle bassline tho

What are some of your favorites outside of the big four?

Islands, Thrak, Three of A Perfect Pair, The Power to Believe.

After listening to them for a long time Lark's Tongue has become my favorite, it's the perfect culmination of all their different styles outlined by some genius songwriting.

Everything up until Three of a Perfect Pair is good
Court, Red and Larks are their 3 best. Their other albums are great too but that's pretty much their holy trilogy. Discipline is amazing but a very different sound then their previous stuff, much more Talking Heads/Post Punk influence.
Try Islands and Lizard.
