sm58 is just a sm57 with windscreen making it more suited to vocal use....sm57 is industry standard, can't go wrong

it sounds good on everything with the right eq and good preamp on your interface. Make sure u use a windscreen for vocals

i use an sm57 for literally everything
vox, amp, acoustic, bass, flute, cello, piano, bells, feedback
they all sound good, but not special with a 57
