Not sure, maybe it's bday partyish because it's supposed to be a metaphor for letting go of all his animosity toward his work friends for never inviting him to their parties because of his beard, that's why he's on the other side of the fence

you're really bands' second-best records huh
that's suspicious
china gate is great though
idk try matana roberts - mississippi moonchile
>>61214398
>bands' second-best records
Oh haha that's just because I've worn out their best records. What's your favorite Scott btw? Mine is probably The Drift.
>matana roberts
This was very interesting but it got to be a little much for me at times.
>>61214243
Plains of the Purple Buffalo sounded amazing to me, and I can see it becoming one of my favorites
I don't really have any explanation for it
And as far as Toe goes, i've heard a lot of both positive and negative comments about them so idk
hey you should really check out Quickspace - The Death of Quickspace
an anon once compared stereolab to quickspace so you might like that album
>>61214546
scott 4 definitely. i haven't tried the drift, i'll check that out
>This was very interesting but it got to be a little much for me at times.
i think roberts is fantastic, i'm excited for her next releases in the series. have you listened to the rest of COIN COIN out so far?
>>61214602
>I don't really have any explaation
I understand that, I'm just frustrated because that stuff never clicks with me
>Quickspace
Ok this is pretty dope, thanks. They're kinda like a slightly sloppier (in a good way) Stereolab, I can see the parallels. Also the singer is from a band I already like, Th'Faith Healers.
>>61214677
The Drift is where Walker started to go avant-garde. I like it most because he still keeps the pop structure and sensibility of his early stuff but it has the horror/experimental edge of his later works.
Listening to All Is Written right now, this is actually fantastic. Thank you.
>>61214923
I guess I should check out Stereolab then because I love quickspace
>>61214243
You weight around 165 pounds.
>>61214097

>>61215373

Weird variety I had this week
>>61215373
You work for Pitchfork
>>61214573

>>61216174
I really only listen to albums. Shuffle is for plebs, here's the 5x5 if you really care that much
