this year for april fools they added captchas whenever you went on the site with obscure incomprehensible metal logos to confirm you're not a bot, and then wrote an entire fucking blog entry about how they're adding "paid" gold accounts, and without the gold accounts you couldn't look up bands that weren't mainstream.

I totally get the appeal of being in a downtempo band since you just chug 0's for your set, and watch dudes spinkick each other for 30 minutes. Kardashev is probably the most impressive deathcore band to come out in a long while, although their new album doesn't really have a lot of deathcore elements left, and the tech-core scene is still going strong, Dysphoria is probably the best example of that. Acrania were mixing slam and deathcore pretty well before they broke up, and Aversions Crown can't write a song to save their lives but have some great guitar tones imo
