It's funny you drew that comparison though, because the first thought I had listening to Blackstar is it sounds like a longer/moodier version of something he would have done in the Lodger/Scary Monsters era. Plus, I think the vary phasey drums were actually pretty unique sounding. I will give you that the guitar tones are very radiohead-esque.
