but those are both the best songs on the album
>thinking those are the worst songs
>people still think Frankly Mr. Shankly is a bad song

People always get The Smiths all backwards.
I always hear retards saying, "wow, Heaven Knows is suuuuch a big fuck you to corporations! Epic!" when Frankly, Mr. Shankly is quite literally a resignation letter to Rough Trade, with a big kick to Geoff Travis' balls, who tried to impress Morrissey with his writing.
>I didn't realize that you wrote poetry
>I didn't realize you wrote such bloody awful poetry, Mr. Shankly
It's the ultimate "screw this job, I'm out" song.

that album is far from perfect (the last song is forgettable for instance) but Frankly Mr. Shankly is one of the best songs
>For Dinner

Morrissey isn't much of a poet himself desu

>picking both of the tracks that are pleb filters
nice work anon

Still my favourite album, but why they had to put that song in an only 6 tracks album while they had an instrumental masterpiece like glenn?

"Frankly Mr. Shankly" is fantastic. I agree with "Vicar in a Tutu"

Glenn is great but it doesn't exactly fit between Washer and Good Morning, Captain. For Dinner... is a very moody transitional track.

what the fuck OP, Frankly Mr. Shankly is 10/10. Vicar is very good too, but probably the weakest track
