Ted gets too little credit because he isn't as out-there as Fenriz, he's the true mastermind behind Darkthrone. As far as Darkthrone being the pinnacle, I think Immortal did it best and for longer out of the OG 2nd wave bands. Wouldn't call them the pinnacle, tho. I don't think any one band can claim that.

I usually don't like such a production aswell, but I think it fits perfectly to the music in this case.
sure it could be sharper, but that one is actually one of the best produced paysage records so I won't complain.
Kerker for example is way worse. I can't stand that at all.

I was expecting something a bit more extreme and chaotic, a bit more raw, the production was pretty thin and I didn't see a very developed sound overall.
