It serves to show who knows DOOM "for real" and who is just posing. A shit ton of people who are praising DOOM wouldn't even be listening to him if he were coming up today, like a multitude of teenagers who are all about trap and Young Thug and have no fucks to give for underground indie rappers with abstract styles but get wet when they see MF's mask because someone told them it is cool. Writing MF DOOM in all caps shows that at least you know something about his lore. Also, don't come to tell me "MF Doom" written like this is not the ugliest shit ever.

The image you posted is in shit resolution and doesn't even make sense in context here. If you can't take your time to write DOOM in all caps like a fucking comic book character's name is written then fuck off, it takes a quarter of second to do it. It is supposed to be written as if the word DOOM had some threatening significance, and also is a nod to the fact there is no lowercase in comics. It doesn't sort out the fake fans, but it shows who are the ones who understand what DOOM is doing with his moniker, turning it into a way of showing "danger", and refers to how DR. DOOM's name was written in all caps in the comics covers. He serves way more as a fictional character from some comic rapping in albums and shit than an actual rapper, and his stylistic choice shows that. At this rate we thought that people would be able to understand why he does that but it appears that asking it from a bunch of little spergs to post one anime pic after the other and believe that people will for real tell others two write DOOM in all caps in the real world is asking too much.

not that guy but rap borrows a lot from sport traditions and shit. Like, the traditions of american football players, of just having a few things that are followed a certain way. Like writing someone's name with all caps, it is done just because it is fun. It sort of means something, but it's actually done because it looks cool and it's fun to have the motto of: "remember all caps when you write the man's name"
