Post your top three AOTY (but not in order of preference). Have others select their favourite from your choices and guess stuff about you.
>Carter Tutti Void - f (x)
>James Ferraro - Skid Row
>Carly Rae Jepsen - E MO TION

>Julia Holter - Have You in My Wilderness
>Viet Cong - Viet Cong
>Ought - Sun Coming Down

>I'd guess you like anime or something
Bad read, man. No. Can't stand anime.
Of yours I'd select Ought. You seem like someone who indulges in nostalgia too much.
I literally haven;t heard a single album that I liked which was released in 2015.
>>60468132
Cool. Thanks for posting.
>>60467946

Everything Everything - Get To Heaven

Now that neurotic hipster music that uses poor technical proficiency as a point of uniqueness and genuineness is the norm, I don't see any music that is good.
>>60468240
Fair enough.
Still not sure why you posted, though.

Everything Everything - Get to Heaven
Kendrick - TPAB
Last Dinosaurs - Wellness
I havent rlly listened to a ton of albums from 2015.
btw anon im assuming that you like to visit your grandparents often
>>60468156
That Carly Rae Song is basically just a pop song. You guys would probably make fun of it if it were popular and be dicks to people who enjoy it.
>>60468311
>"Basically"
It's a fairly high profile top 40 release, dude.
>>60468047
Yeah I'm pretty bad at the read, that's what I guess when I have no clue.
Wrong on the read though, I'm all for the present and future
>>60468410
I guess we're both bad, then.
I'll confess my read was based on really shoddy ground. I saw two post-punk albums and my snap judgement was "Doesn't this guy know it isn't 1981 anymore?"
And, yes, I'm aware of the irony of thinking that while I have Carter Tutti Void on my list.
>>60468310
>btw anon im assuming that you like to visit your grandparents often
Yep, although, only one's left, at this point.
>John Wiese- Deviate From Balance

I'm finishing up Skidrow now and it's really fucking good. There's a great chance that it makes the top 10 list after I listen through another 6 or 7 times. To Live and Die in La swallowed me whole.
He really stepped everything up from NYC, Hell, 3:00AM (huge disappointment for me). The concept of a bleak 90s LA, the upgraded drums that actually punch and guitars that blanket you, and a vocal delivery that doesn't sound like an excuse of phoned-in r&b sadness. And it's all beautifully layered like you would expect from Ferraro. What a beautiful man.
Shame that Dean Blunt hasn't delivered anything substantial this year.
>>60468869
>Shame that Dean Blunt
I mean, he's been pretty consistent since 2010. I think a gap year is earned.
>>60468869
>2. US Girls - Half Free
u smart
>Shame that Dean Blunt hasn't delivered anything substantial this year.
babyfather & uk2uk are great, nice transitional period before whatever he does next year (the hyperdub release that's been hinted at)

"I don’t really think capitalism in itself is evil, I have a hard time subscribing to binaries like that. It seems like our most natural economic interface but I think it’s primitive; the evolution of society and the development of our ideals and values is problematic for capitalism. Exploitation is a natural consequence by design; some are thriving under its design, most are passively participating. I think as a generality capitalism generates a toxic psychology, like a mutated type of persona. I don’t know, maybe there is something on the horizon that will distance us further from it all in a meaningful way before the system collapses on itself. Patriarchy is personally the most saddening issue, it would be beneficial to society as a whole if women had the same advantages that men have; patriarchy is like a handcuffed society. There needs to be more scientific and technological efforts geared towards women’s health."
-James Ferraro
why do artists think they're philosophers on subjects they know nothing about.
