I've heard this album several times before, but now that I've committed to buying it, it find myself oddly compelled to it, wanting to listen over and over again. Is this normal?

In high school I used to listen to this on repeat over and over. I don't know why this album has this effect on so many people, I mean they're just simple acoustic guitar songs which shouldn't hold much interest but they do

I think it's seasonal
I think the album just hits home to what alot of people visualize as indie folk. I do still like it alot even after all these years.
If pretentious indie hipster disease had a trademark symptom it would be this. The only cure is to listen to Current 93.

I think it's just how off-kilter it is. The vocals, instrumentation, lyrics, they're all just slightly off in a way that is enticing to the listener.
