Deep Water is a bit of a pointless interlude even though it is quite pretty.

I actually like real more than most of people who would suggest taking it off the album, I just think dying of thirst would be a better closer (and that it should be a separate track to Sing About Me). For the time it was the coolest shit, but nowadays some of MC Dälek's speeches and views are kind of the samey samey "revolutionary" view you will find in any conscious rapper ever or any RATM album for example. I'd extend that to the vast majority of the Jandek discog. Some of it doesn't do much for me (the 80s band albums where they're trying to make "regular" music).
