I can listen to music talking about killing faggots while still thinking people who hate gay people are stupid. Generally the reason I would listen to such music isn't solely because of the homophobic shit in it. That being said I don't really listen to hip hop but I do kind of like JMT, who do do this kind of thing.

Lol, making a connection between political affiliation and music taste is dumb. I listen to genres that can for the most part be filled with fascist undertones (power electronics, neofolk, black metal) and still identify as a leftist. In the end if you can be persuaded to one side or the other easily, or believe in the validity of the political values being displayed in the content of the music, you're probably fucking dumb.
You can still like things, even things that certain aspects of it you find objectionable.
