I've only liked Okmalumkoolkat.
I like how his music seems like a mix of the dumbest, most vaguely spiritual conscious rap and party rap, and has unique production. It sounds like I'm ripping on it, but the ensuing feeling is nice and in short supply.
The fact that he's holding a scepter and wearing a dress with a CD strapped to his head really drives this feeling home in the video.

The only other thing I remember really listening to was the constructus corporation, but I couldn't really keep my attention on it. I know of Die Antwoord but they're not my thing.

South African music is not a genre mate. There's a shit ton of variety. Why post three of the shittest SA tracks? Only the first one was popular and was so only cause of its own memeness. Post some more current music from different genres if you want proper feedback. Otherwise you're just trolling

shangaan electro is amazing. and the more urban gquom music is also killer.

Original post has zinja. Zinja =/= nozinja. Didn't say anything about nozinja
No, then I'd have said popularity instead, né? I mean that song gained popularity because it was so out of left field
Also saying I should give better examples is like telling a film critic "well you do better" - I can see the flaw in something without actually having to do the thing in question.
And "South African" is still not a genre

Is kwaito still a thing?
