======
Summary:
You were Mango, a Batpony from a small town near Las Pegasus turned vampire by Fierce Fang. After deciding against joining the older and obviously amoral vampire Mango fled both him and a bounty in Las Pegasus caused by her feeding habits. She's on her way to Ponyville, where there are supposedly no Vampires to compete with.
But after divulging her Vampire status to Zecora, the Zebra snitched to Twilight who confronted Mango in the Castle of the Two Sisters.
Caught between a rock and a hard place, Mango seems to be tentatively going along with Twilight's plan to send her to infiltrate a group of vampires in Canterlot.
Despite Twilight giving her a rather raw deal, Mango agrees to help, but not before negotiating for better treatment and learning about an Adventuring guild in town.
After some adventures and narrow victories with the ponyville guild, you took a train to Canterlot where you're currently waiting for a meeting with a group of Vampires.
======
>>
>the guild itself is close to the industrial sector
>when you enter you note a lively conversation between two heavily armed members.
>they're trying to be discreet but with your ears you could easily eavesdrop if you wanted
>the master member at the door is busy taking bounties from a pair of robed unicorns anyway.
>you walk a bit closer, just enough to hear clearly.
>"-from one of my friends in the guard that she's about to issue a royal bounty."
>"And you think it has to do with the gangs in Las Pegasus? How does that make sense?"
>"Because the gang stuff is a cover. For what, I don't know. My friend doesn't know. But its something big. Maybe changlings, or wereponies."
>"Pretty sure that stuff would be all over the news..."
>"Well something big is going down in Las Pegasus, and I want a slice of the pie. You in?"
>"I don't know, thats an expensive train ticket."
>they eventually agree to go check the ticket prices, and leave.
>You note then that the robed ponies are long gone, leaving you standing in front of the master member awkwardly.
>"Do you need anything, ma'am?"

>>25860744
>>25861189
"Uh, I wanted to ask about night classes. Specifically for getting the firearms permit."
>"We have those classes, but typically they're early in the morning."
>You slump at that, which the unicorn notices
>"Of course I can check our schedule. We do sometimes have later classes."
>She rifles through a few papers before pulling one out.
>"Ah, yes. We have a basic firearms safety course in, uh..."
>She squints down at the paper.
>"Thre- no, uh two days. It's at 6:00 PM, so it's sorta at night."
>>
>>25895586
What time does the sun normally set this time of year?
>>
>>25895586
Ok then thanks.

Ask about some bounties if they're nothing interesting then go back to the hotel and read from one of the library books.
>>
>>25895916
>>25896022
>"If that time doesn't work for you, you could always ask the instructor about a private class. Sometimes they charge but sometimes they make exceptions."
"Hmm, well any special bounties right now?"
>"Actually yes. There's an expedition by the School for Gifted Unicorns Geology department going under ground next week. They want us to clear out their path this week, and guard them during their expedition."
>"Diamond Dogs, Gricks, Ferrite Fleas, Bulettes, and anything else killed in the old royal mines is worth 100 bits each."
>"They haven't told us the pay for the guard job yet, but above ground that's usually 50 bits a day work, I'd imagine they'd have to pay more than that."
"Uh, when does the sun set here?"
>"Well the Princess usually starts to lower the sun around 6:00. Same as always, you know."
>>
>>25896205
That sounds like some good work to hold us until we leave.

Welp I guess we can go back to the hotel now and wait for the meeting.
>>
>>25896457
"That mine job sounds pretty good. Anything else I should know for that?"
>"Eh, you're a batpony so you can see good in the dark right? That helps. Might want to get a hard helmet in case of cave-ins. You also probably don't want to take on anything bigger than a Diamond Dog on your own, so if you're interested you should probably find a group."
"Good to know."
>Canterlot at night is not quite as busy as Las Pegasus, but there's an active night life.
>And in this part of town, it's not exactly martinis and au d'oeuvres.
>A stallion in a coach drives by shouting incomprehensible racial epithets at...
>Well at pretty much anything not a unicorn
>You see a mare with stockings leading a drunk looking stallion into an alley.
>Other than the fact that nearly everpony here is a unicorn, it feels a lot like Las Pegasus at this hour.
>Thinking about home makes you want those meat sticks again.
>You hurry back to the hotel before anything bad can happen.
>There's not too much to do before the meeting, but you could read.
>Trouble is, you've read everything your books say about firearms. You still have the rest of the martial arts book to go though.
>Or you could just study the firearms parts more.
>What does Mango do?
>>

>The martial arts book is rather practical in its instructions.
>The author repeats over and over "the only fair fight is the one you lose."
>Most of the book is about leveraging your advantages and ending the conflict swiftly, often brutally.
>The rest is diet and training instruction.
>There's a darkly amusing diagram of a stallion's hindquarters, with nerve bundles pointed out.
>More diagrams follow on how to properly bar limbs with intent to break are shown for ponies, griffons, and diamond dogs.
>The one for pegasus wings discomforts you, but seeing the various way to break batpony wings makes you wince, and your wings ache.
>It doesn't help that that one came with a rather visceral illustration...
>Now that you skim through a bit you notice that most of the illustrations feature a grotesquely muscular bat or earth pony as the "bad guy," while the "good guy" almost always a white coated chisel jawed unicorn.
>Figures...

>Your watch says it's about 3:00 AM. You still have a few hours of night left.
>What does Mango do?
>>
>>25904194
Gee I guess book is anti bat
Well enough theory lets practice a bit might as well train too we do have a solid amout of time left
>>
>>25904194
Do some physical practice. Practice the moves on an imaginary opponent or even on a pillow, if we have to.
>>
>>25904194
The guild probably has an area for practicing this kind of thing. We should test out those hoof guards with some dummies.
>>
>>25904421
>>25904463
>>25904528
>You consider practising on your pillows, but there are better options.
>You know the Hotel has a gym with punching bags, though you probably shouldn't use the hoofguards there.
>You don't know what the guild has, but if they have dummies you're pretty sure they're there to get destroyed.
>Where do you go?
>>
>>25904463
We should probably be cautious with practicing in doors that seeing how we have that crazy hoof guard on.
>>
>>25904609
Just practice on the punching bags without the hoof guards.
>>
>>25904624
>>25904631
>You decide to stay at the hotel.
>Shorter walk, and less chance of you accidentally losing track of time and being stranded there in the morning.
>You slip off the hoofguards.
>As they come off, the last one discharges its spikes and sticks into the floor.
>Luckily neither you, nor the carpeted floor seem damaged, though you're a bit weary of the experimental devices..

>You do some exercises down in the gym.
>At this hour nopony is there, so you set down the book and try some of the techniques.
>It's hard to really get better against targets like punching bags, but it's far better than nothing, and after an hour of working out, you feel better at least.
>Your muscles ache, but in a different way than ever before. Tingly, almost like your eyes when you hypnotise a pony.
>You want to keep going, but should you?
>>
>>25905563
Do it.
>>
>>25905563
Lets see what happens.
>>
>>25905607
>>25905650
>You keep going.
>Eventually you get so you can hit the same spot on the bag over and over, hitting as hard as ever.
>It feels good, and you do it until you feel tired, leaving a noticeable dent in the bag.
>You know if you keep training like this you can only get better.
>You feel the call to feed after all that activity though.

>As you start to head back up, you notice sunlight streaming through the windows in the hall.
>You check your watch.
>It's 6:23 AM, guess time slipped away from you while you trained.
>What does Mango do?
>>
>>25905893
Do we still get burned if we do the smoke trick in sunlight? Perhaps we could hop from cover to cover as long as no one's around.
If not then we need to find something to cover ourself with. Towels from the gym maybe.
>>
>>25905893
Go back to your room and have a blood snack.

>You use your Gaseous form and test the light.
>It's not easy to exactly control where all of you goes in that form, especially with the limited time, but as far as you can tell, the light doesn't hurt you when you're shapeshifted.
>You use this to skip through short sections of light let into the hallways.
>It's not a total victory.
>You can feel something like normal sunburns start after the fourth window you mist past.
>By the time you get back to your room, your skin is dry and flaky.
>Hopefully you don't look terrible for the meeting tomorrow.
>Your morning meal goes far better, you don't lose control at all, and you're able to sip the sweet blood with no problems.
>After that you lie down to sleep. It takes a while to get comfortable on your burned back, but the sheets and pillows are soft, and you eventually drift off.

You run through the forest
You can smell her; prey
You see flashes of pink
You see patches of yellow
Through the dense brush
You lunge and strike true
Biting, crushing the trachea
Fangs piercing flesh, draining
Her cries fall on your deaf ears
The color drained from her
The life slips from her eyes
It feels Good. It feels Right.
======

>You wake up with a start, your head hurts.
>The watch reads 6:30 PM.
>It's very early for the meeting, but you don't feel like sleeping.
>On the bright side, your skin feels a lot better.

Sorry about that. Internet totally went down for a while. Goodnight.

>You decide it's best to not forget to shower again, especially before a meeting.
>Besides, it'll take your mind off the troubling dream you had, and you have plenty of time.
>The meeting isn't until midnight.
>Of course, it being your first time, getting there early might be a very good idea.
>>
>>25919454
It's 6:30, there's plenty of time for a shower. Plan on an hour early at most.
>>
>>25919454
We should shop for some armor.
>>
>>25919613

>You get in the shower and let the hot water flow over you.
>The dream was very vivid, and being alone with nothing but water isn't helping you forget.
>Instead you try to focus on the practical while you wash.
>If you're going to continue this adventuring career, you'll want some armor. You still want a gun too, but since the licensing...
>Well the licensing is just for pistols. You can own a rifle or shotgun without the paperwork.
>Of course toting around something like that isn't as simple as slipping a pistol in your bag.
>Either way getting some armor will be easier, you hope. Maybe you could look into that before the meeting.
>As you get out you remember that one of your pigtails got burned off. You go to the mirror to see what you can do to fix it, only to be rudely reminded that you don't cast a reflection anymore.
>You feel your mane, and it's certainly one sided. You probably look pretty silly, though you wouldn't know.
>Maybe you should find a barber while you're out.
>>
>>25920182
I don't even know if the barber's an option. There are plenty of mirrors there and he or she is absolutely certain to notice that we're not casting a reflection.

It'd be a dead giveaway.
>>
>>25920182
Just ask fluttershy to do your hair when you get back home or maybe if one of the vampires at the meeting are nice they'll help out.

In moments like these it's best to keep a positive attitude. Hope for the best prepare for the worst.
>>
>>25920182
Barber use mirrors.
>>
>>25920182
Just shop around for armor or something. I doubt vampires will mind that we don't look immaculate.
>>

>>25920257
>>25920420
>>25920430
>Thinking more on it, maybe the barber isn't the best place to go.
>If other ponies notice you don't reflect, they might get suspicious.
>You should have asked Fluttershy back in Ponyville, but she was probably just being too nice to say anything...
>Same as the shower situation.

>You notice that the hotel has a packet with a room service menu, pay-per-view TV menu, and more importantly a list of shops in the area.
>It's mostly restaurants, but there are a few that you might be interested in.
>There's an "Expedition Outfitters." They might have armor, but would certainly have gear for delving underground. Might be useful for that contract with the guild.
>As much as you hate them, there's a P-Mart nearby. They sell nearly everything. Armor, fruit, hunting rifles or shotguns.
>Finally there's a celebrity Pawn Shop that used to be on a TV show. The show was mostly about their rare high ticket items, but they should buy anything.

>If you wanted to look for a more specialised shop, you'll probably need to venture a bit from the hotel.
>>
>>25920508
To be honest getting licence before meeting seems like mission impossible
Right lets check for armor for now
>>
>>25920508
Never shop at P-mart NEVER.
It is the symbol of all of our pain and suffering and we will not shop there.

Expedition Outfitters sounds better. Or perhaps we can find something really good for a bat pony if we travel farther out.
>>
>>25920508
Expedition Outfitters is fine.
>>
Last one for tonight. Fell asleep writing it already...
>>25920544
>>25920571
>Fuck P-Mart. That damn place is really the whole reason you're even here instead of happily running your old shop in Las Pegasus.
>Damn Patwrite monopoly.
>You head to the outfitters. You're not sure what they'll have but it can't hurt to check.

>The sunset is pretty to look at, but you don't want to take any chances so you keep to the shadows.
>In the shop it's clear that they mainly cater to thrill seekers who explore the caves for fun.
>For sale are various harnesses and ropes, tools and bags and other general climbing or caving equipment.
>The closest to armor they have are some helmets and leg pads.
>You ask the clerk about protective gear or armor, specifically for that expedition the Adventurers guild is doing
>She says that they have leather padding, but it won't stand up well in combat.
>Sport stores might have some plastic armor that might be closer to what we're looking for.
>However they have nice plastic or metal helmets here that would be just as useful for combat as they are for cave ins.
>60 bits for the plastic one, 250 for the metal.
>>
>>25920999
Fucking shit metal one is expensive
Maybe we could bargain for lower price
If not I guess we'll have to go to sport shop
>>
>>25920999
Honestly, I'm more worried about bullets than anything else. We can eat physical damage fine, a bullet could conceivably one-shot us.

If anything, I'd like something akin to level IIIA body armor. Something we could wear almost all the time without looking too crazy out of place, but still will stop almost anything that comes out of a pistol.
>>
This shit was weird
couldn't post for a few hours
>>
>>25920999
A metal mining helmet seems like it would be useful in general, but that's quite expensive. Is there anywhere we can rent cave equipment instead?

>>25921066
Yeah, I'd say with our increased resilience we could afford to skimp on the protection a little, so long as what we have stops actual penetration.

"Damn, that metal one is expensive."
>The mare at the counter says it was her old custom helmet. It's made of a rare metal that's lighter than Steel but just as strong. The plastic helmets are fine, but if they get hit the break real easy.
>She says there's a surplus store not to far that has cheap old military armor and gear, but she claims her stuff is far more comfortable to use.
>You ask if they have body armor, like bullet proof stuff.
>She says they might, but if they don't have it they could probably get it. She adds that it's probably expensive, and she's never seen anything underground use guns. Too loud for the shooter.
>>
>>25927097
We have time. We might as well go take a look.
>>
>>25927121
>You follow the Outfitter's directions and end up at the surplus store.
>The small shop smells of oil and must, though it looks clean enough.
>There's an older stallion with a large white moustache behind a glass counter filled with old military doodads.
>Rows of colorful military jackets fill the walls, making the shop feel even more cramped.
>Some brass guard helmets are stacked on shelves, along with heavy looking griffon examples.
>The building did look bigger, they probably have some other items in the back.
>"Hello, miss. Ah, let me guess, your father was in the Night Guard? Looking for something like his old uniform?"

>As far as you know your dad was just a baker
>He died a few months after you opened your store. He was so proud, as sick as he was.
>Your Mom had more of a wilder streak, and had something to do with the guard, if you recall.
>She's still living in that small town, you think, but you haven't seen her after Dad died. You never quite forgave her for remarrying so quickly.

>But reminiscing doesn't help the current situation.
>"Huh, we usually don't see many Batponies up here unless they're looking for something like that. Whatcha here for?"
"Well I'm looking for armor, actually. I was planning on going on an expedition with the Adventurer's Guild underground-"
>"Oh, a guild type. Well, I have a lot of of guard armor. Old brass helmets are about 20-60 bits, based on quality. The new style designed to protect from shrapnel or pistols are 100. Same for each pair of legs."
"Do you have soft bullet proof armor? Like something I could wear under other clothes."
>"I don't think I have any in stock. It's a higher ticket item and typically the user wants them custom. Do you know what type you'd want?"
"No..."

>He goes over the different types of bulletproof vests.
>There's vests or barding. Vests protect your front and some of the sides, while barding is full coverage for your body, but bulkier and harder to conceal.
>There are three levels of protection as well.
>Level 1 protection is good against most handguns.
>Level 2 is good against magnum handguns or shotguns
>Level 3 is actually either level 1 or 2 armor with large pockets for metal plates.
>Some ponies can afford light enchanted plates to stop rifle bullets, but most rely on thick steel that covers the vitals.
>The stallion says he can get basic Level 1 vests for about 120 bits, and level 2s for about 300.
>If you wanted something else he'll have to special order it, and it will likely be more expensive.
>>
>>25930435
If we can afford it, a level 1 vest would be nice.

No need for heavy plates, since we're basically relying on speed and our hooves for combat right now.

>You hear somepony say "Come on in, you know it's not locked." in a similarly hard to place accent as Rarity's.
>Why those posh types have to fake their accents you'll never know.
>You walk in a bit less confidently.
>The room is dark, though you can see fine, and is furnished with eight cushioned chairs facing a large wooden desk.
>Two unicorn stallions, one in front of the desk and one behind, are having a rather one sided discussion.
>The stallion with the fake accent talks excitedly, almost angry.
>"I'm fronting the property, the money, my company's reputation. All I'm asking for is some respect, 'Master'."
>He spits the last word with some venom, and the other stallion frowns.
>"Mr. Baron, you wound me." His voice is quiet but rough as gravel. "You know you cannot buy respect. But you don't want mere respect, you want dominance of this council. You can voice your concerns, the same as any of us, but--"

>The stallions seem to notice you, the older one behind the counter seems bemused, while 'Mr Baron' looks more surprised and looks to the other for any information.
>"And just who the hay are you? Patwrite, is this some kind of game, distract me with some exotic tart while you use my money for this council that rarely even helps me?"
>The older stallion justs raises a hoof to his mouth, as if amused by this circumstance.

You have an opening to speak, or you could just wait this out and see what happens.

Name's Mango. And please, don't stop on my account.
>>

>Head of Equestria's largest corporation is a vampire
Wah wah

Vampires live for a very long time, plenty of chances to gain power and wealth.

>Wait, Patwrite?
>You try to keep your glowing hatred from showing to the old stallion.
>He looks different from how you might have expected.
>Rather than some mustache twirling cackling bastard, the cream colored unicorn seems reserved.
>Very unlike Mr. Baron, whose Grey coat didn't hide his fluster well.
>You can see the red shine through.
"Uh, hello. I'm Mango--"
>Patwrite chuckles.
>"Can you not tell, Mr. Baron? She's one of us."
>"What, impossible. N- no one is so irresponsible to create another..."
>"Obviously it is not impossible, Mr. Baron, or Mango here would not be in front of us."
"I'm terribly sorry to interrupt, by all means don't stop your conversation on my account."
>Patwrite smiles, "Ah, how polite." he gives Baron a sideways glance. "Some of us could learn a great deal about respect from you, Mango."
>You can nearly hear Baron's teeth grind.
>"I was done anyway."
>Patwrite raises his hoof again, contemplatively.
>"I must say, your presence here is unexpected., but not unwelcome. We have not welcomed a new member of the council in nearly a century. However, the fact that you come here, instead of the other way around is... deeply concerning."
>Baron, harrumphs.
>"It's worse than that. It means someone outside knows where we are. We'll need to uproot. This time, find sompony else to mooch off. I hear June Bug has money."
>Patwrite silences Baron with a glance.
>"We can assume since she hasn't tried anything, that she isn't here to do any harm. Besides, look at her. She's a fledgling, she couldn't hurt us if she wanted to."
>"However, we do need to know how you found us, Mango. If you're comfortable sharing, I'd like to know how you came to be, as well. New Vampires are usually big news. The fact that you made it here, and we didn't detect you is odd, to say the least."
>>
>>25941793
We found out about a meeting here from the notes of a dead hunter in Las Pegasus and wanted a chance to meet more vampires so we could learn about what we've become. As for not knowing about us, we only came to Canterlot yesterday day and we're feeding from blood bags so we won't cause problems.
>>
>>25941793
Don't tell how we came here that would bust us
Though we can tell how we were turned
We were turned vampire by fierce fang who's intention was to kill us but somehow we survived
>>
>>25941793

As for the story, >>25941871 works. Vampire hunters doing investigation, afterall, that's how Twilight found out, yeah?

The vampire who turned me was Fierce Fang, and from what he told me, he didn't do it on purpose either. From what he's told me, he was just as surprised as I was that I didn't die.
>>
>>25941891
My bad, it was Luna, apparently. Close enough.
>>
>>25941793
Tell him we became a vampire because he ruined our business. It's a little bit his fault in an indirect kind of way.
>>
>>25942081
I don't think that's a bad idea. Maybe we could do a little bit of a life story dump.

Owned a fruit preserves store, which got knocked out of business by Ponemart. Turned to the bottle and somehow ended up being baited by Fierce Fang. Drained us in the hotel room, but somehow we didn't die and got turned.

"Well, I was turned, or whatever you call it, in Las Pegasus, by Fierce Fang."
>Baron rolls his eyes, "Here we go..."
>Patwrite furrows his brow, a deep look of concern in his features.
"He... he said he was just trying to drain me. He was just as surprised to see me survive as I was."
>"Hmm, that is unusual. A connection to Fang will likely win you few favors here."
"You know, the only reason Fang got me was because I was drinking, and I was drinking because of you, Patwrite. I used to own my own store, I sold fruit and fruit products. But then a P-Mart opened up in my town."
>The elder vampire chuckles a bit.
>"Mango, I haven't run that business for over 400 years. I maybe the head of the family, but my progeny are capable ponies. I leave the little things like that in their hooves."
>"Don't misdirect your anger, as somepony with the gift you've been given, you owe it to yourself to play the long game here, Mango."
>"And you still haven't told us how you found us directly."

>What's the exact story for the hunters. Does Mango claim she killed them? Do you claim she got the info in some other way?
>>
>>25942161
No killing we didn't do any of that shit
we heard about it from passing conversations
being curious as we are we decided to check it out
>>
>>25942238
Heard about a secret meeting from a passing conversation?
>>
>>25942266
Could heard while we were spending time in canterlot
After all we have sensitive ears

truth will get us more troubles than lie no?
>>
Getting too late, gotta call it for tonight. Probably not gonna be able to update tomorrow.
>>
>>25942333
Lies can be checked out and they have the resources and patience to do that. Which is worse a bad truth or a bad lie?
>>
>>25942333
Also I said that the best lies are based on the truth, not that we should tell them the truth.
>>
>>25942344
>>25942352
You are right if they really wanted to give us a bad time
they could
though they don't seem all that hostile
hm what do you suggest in that case
a semi truth give me your point and i'll listen to ya
not just brush it off.
>>
>>25942389
The truth is that:
>The info was on the dead hunter
>Fang killed him
>Fang probably planted the information
>Fang wants us to act against them
>We don't like or agree with Fang
>Twilight gave us the info
>Twilight also wants us to spy on them
>Twilight is more agreeable
We could state that Fang wanted us to act against them, but we disagreed and we found a dead hunter that was after us, who Fang probably killed, and the information was on him. That would say we're on bad terms with Fang, warn them about his intentions, explain how we found out, and leave Twilight out of it.
>>
>>25942445
And they wouldn't doubt it
would they?
pretty good idea though if it works out well we could collect info we're here for deliver it to twilight
and establish ourselves in ponyville
>>
>>25942161
Just tell them Fang told us they were here, but we refused to work with him against them.
It's technically true, even if he didn't tell us about this meeting specifically.
>>
>>25943052
Actually yeah, say Fang told is we were here
>>
>>25942445
This.
>>
>>25944781
>>
>>25942445
Ya know as nice as that sounds maybe there's a way we could end up joining these vampires. They seem to dislike fang so maybe and they didn't kill us on spot. So maybe they'll take pity and help us get twilight and the government off our back.

It's not that twilight is bad but if she's used us once she'll do it again later down the line. I wouldn't want to keep sticking my neck out for her if I don't have to.
>>
>>25945815
We can have Fluttershy talk with her if she starts bullying us again.
>>
>>25945872
We could do that but as some anon said fluttershy was just being nice to us
She will obey twilight
With that said our goal was peaceful existence not to be to be twilights bitch
>>
>>25946315
We'll just be sure to keep our options open.

I don't know if turning our back on Twilight will be a particularly good idea, but if these vampires give us a darn good offer, then perhaps we could consider joining them.
>>
>>25946327
If we don't join them I still want to learn as much as I can about the vampires in equestra from them and our own powers.
>>
>>25945815
I don't see why Twilight is the boogieman here. She already had a change of heart. We agreed to come here of our own volition. Besides, the fact that they're already known to the government and the way they apparently treat their servants doesn't inspire much confidence in them.
>>
>>25946482
Well It's not that Twilight is the boogeyman people just don't want to work for her.

And frankly what those people do with their servants is they're business. Regular rich ponies aren't that much better I would imagine.
>>
>>25946615
Rich ponies servants don't have their blood drained and "lose days" here and there, nor do they fear for their families lives. If we join them we'll be bottom rank, and that means working for them anyway, only the things they'll have us doing are far more dubious. I see no benefit in throwing in with a secret society that isn't even secret anymore, especially one that is likely to be attacked soon.
>>
>>25946668
Somehow I don't think things are all black and white as that. It's mainly a gut feeling but anyway everybody has to eat but I can't really blame them that much.
But there is some needed reform. It happened before so maybe with luna back it can happen again....but minus the vampire genocide

Also i'm starting to question the point of trying to avoid working for others, when doing a CYOA. It seems a bit contradictory.
>>
>>25946787
So your argument for doing something risky is the meta reasoning of "it's a cyoa"? In that case why is working for them better than working for Twilight? You understand that at this point they're going to have to communicate with the princesses at some point, and so are we. Why cut ties when we're benefiting from them and will need them later anyway?
>>
>>25946847
my reason for working with them wasn't "it's a cyoa" I was talking about the goal of trying to not take a side in general by looking for a way out. But fact of the matter is that we were dragged in whether we wanted to or not may as well make the best of it.

But I get what you're saying. And completely jumping ship to be with your own kind might not be the best idea, when you dont know whats going on. So why not play both sides and see what happens. Then make out like a bandit with the spoils.

Also these Vamps have been in hiding for centuries. I don't think this is the first time they've been discovered nor will it be the first time they'll get away. And if they had wanted them dead they would have done it the moment they got the info. Luna wanted something more and these guys seem to want something too. So i think somewhere in between there might be where the interesting third option might be.
>>
>>25947452
Fang already told us that vampires have been considered extinct since the hunting Celestia launched after Luna's banishment, and bare in mind that vampires did die in those hunts. They're far from untouchable. Also, Twilight hasn't asked us to take a side. She's asking for information for the purpose of establishing peace. It's important to remember that the one thing stopping those hunts from starting again is Twilight and Luna's goodwill.
>>
>>25947762
Goodwill or not I think one thing can be said, After what happened that night Las Pegasus and the hunter snooping around. The hunts are going to start again. They got smell of blood and the hounds are already on the trail.

Best to start trying to stuff our sleeves full of cards now while we can. if we want to survive. Things might just start getting interesting.
>>
>>25948552
Well that's kind of the point. Certain vampires can end up exempt from this hunt. They'll never find us with two princesses making sure of it.

"It's a long story. Fang wanted my help against you, but I wanted nothing to do with that. He let me go with some veiled threats."
"Later I found a dead Guard, that I think Fang killed. He had the information about this meeting on him. I can only guess, but I assume Fang either wanted to lead the Guard to you, or lead me to you."
>Patwrite strokes his chin, while thinking over what you told him.
>"These are troubling developments. We should wait until the rest of the council arrives though. They need to know this as well."
>Baron, never to miss an opportunity to sneer fires back with "Minus your sons, naturally."
>"My sons feel that I am able to advocate for their interests, Baron. I cannot force them to attend."

>You wait for more Vampires to arrive.
>The first to arrive is a vibrant green unicorn mare, then a light brown earth stallion.
>The mare locks eyes with you for a moment before smiling, as if she knows something you don't.
>You stay by the desk as they make their introductions.
>The stallion has an accent, but unlike Baron, it sounds like authentic Trottingham speech
>At 11:50 a blue coated Pagasus arrives, blonde mane done up in the traditional Cloudsdale style. She's got leather armor pieces and a bow strapped across her body.
>She looks like she'd fit right in at the guild, and you think you might have seen her there.
>You assume everypony must have arrived, but the rest seem to still be expecting somepony else.
>While you wait, did you want to talk with any of them?

>"Wh-ell bless your heart, miss. We have a new member joining us tonight, don't we. I'm not sure the others have noticed, but they're all about as sharp as mayonnaise anyway, so I ain't too surprised."
>Her drawl is quite impressive, and unusual for a unicorn.
>"I'm June Bug, pleased to make your acquaintance. Now, you came over here like you had a purpose, what can I do for you?"
>>
>>25950816
Name's Mango. And I came over cause of the smile you gave me when you walked in, made me think that you recognized me or something.
>>
>>25950816
Ask what this whole meeting is about. Is this like a huge meet and greet type of thing or more serious? Heard the vampires here were in canterlot were a lot more friendly than others.
>>
>>25950888
>>25950947
"Mango, nice to meet you."
"When you walked in I saw you smile at me, I thought you might have recognized me from somewhere."
>"How sweet, child, but no. I just try to be kind to everypony I meet. Catch more flies with honey, as they say. I also have a good sense about things, I knew you were one of us, and not, say, one of the cattle."
>"Not to say we shouldn't get acquainted." She adds with a smirk.

"What do you know about this meeting? Is it just to catch up with the others or what?"
>"No ma'am. We do have set meetings once a year, but the next is months away. This is about that foul beast Fierce Fang. I'm not sure what he's done this time but Patwrite called an emergency session last week. This was the first day we could all meet, though Princeps is always fashionably late."
>"Of course, I have to know. What's your story Mango?"
>>
>>25951159
Yeah, funny you should mention Fierce Fang. He's the one who turned me not too long ago. Got me drunk, screwed me in a hotel bedroom and sucked me dry.
Somehow, he messed up and here I am.

Not to worry though, I'm not exactly on good terms with him since I left.
>>
>>25951212
I think it might be best to keep the fact that Fierce Fang turned us to ourselves for the moment. Patwrit already said the guy wouldn't win us any fans just by association alone.

They might think we're his trawl or something.
>>
>>25951159
My story is I got drunk and woke up a vampire. Not exactly a thrilling story.
>>
>>25951212
>>25951297
"Funny you mention Fang. He's the reason I'm one of you. I.. wasn't in a good place. I was drunk and he took advantage of me. Accidentally made me a Vampire."
"It's not too thrilling, but that's what happened."
>"Well I disagree, that's a very interesting story, child. Fang and I have a history too, I know how he is. In my opinion the stallion is downright rotten. I'm very sorry he took advantage of you."
>As she says this a tall steel blue unicorn struts through the door like he owns the place.
>Yoiu notice several odd things about him as he takes the seat closest to the desk.
>His hooves are cloven, and his tail has a noticeable bare segment near his haunches.
>"You may begin now, I have arrived."
>Patwrite gives the newcomer an annoyed glare.
>"Thank you for joining us Princeps."
>The blue unicorn waves a hoof.
>"Get on with it."
>He clears his throat from behind the desk, and you all find seats.
>"I've called you all tonight for an emergency meeting. Fierce Fang has grown to be a rather larger thorn in the side of our goals and ambitions here."
>"Last week I have reason to believe he staged attacks on various cities across Equestria. Others of our kin must be assisting him, but so far he has eluded any attempts at tracking him."
>"As for the cold facts, five ponies were found drained in Las Pegasus, near Fang's current home base. Two vampires, both sympathetic to this council were killed in Manehattan. Cloudsdale had three. Two obvious drainings and one Vampire dead. In Fillydelphia a filly was found drained in the middle of the town square."
>"Vanhoover, Trottingham, Baltimare, even the Crystal Empire all have had deaths or drainings the authorities cannot ignore."
>"This council has long maintained that secrecy and careful planning could keep us safe and secure. Working together may not be easy, but if we do not wish to be hunted down like dogs, it is what we must do."
(1/2)
>>
>>25952088
Last for tonight
>After that opening, Patwrite opens the floor.
>Several plans are produced, including retreating underground, suggested by Dust Devil, the brown Earth Stallion, but none of the Vampires seem willing to make any vast sacrifices.
>Baron points out that Fang never attacked Canterlot.
>There's debate on what that means.
>Most seem to think Fang is planning a bigger attack on them, and some see it as a way to frame them for the attacks.
>Dianne, the pegasus suggests fighting fire with fire. They know where his home is, and he's more powerful than any of them, but not nearly as strong as all of them
>Patwrite shoots her down, the goal is to stay covert. Any action as high profile as an assault on Fang's castle would do more harm than good.
>Eventually they talk about you though.
>"Who is this bat, who brought cattle to the meeting."
>"No, no, she's a new member. Apparently Fang turned her on accident."
>"How embarrassing."
>"I think that shows how sloppy he's being."
>"Good she came to us, though."
>"What if she's spying for him?"
>Care to say anything?

>>25952115
Back in Las Pegasus, Fierce Fang killed a royal guard and planted the location and time of this council in the guard's notes.

I'm not sure what he intended with that move, since I broke contact soon after he tried to recruit me as his thrall for a war against all of you. He doesn't know that I'm here, or I'm sure that he would kill me as well.
Perhaps he meant for those notes to be recovered by anyone investigating his death in hopes that Celestia would get word of this council and mow everyone here down with an army of guards.

He's trying to frame you all as the leaders of a vampire army getting ready to attack ponykind. That's why he's being so overt, he believes that every vampire who doesn't wish to rule over ponykind with an iron hoof deserves death. And with vampires dying, it seems that he's succeeding.
>>
>>25952191
This works
Somehow I feel telling twilight info we get here might not be best idea after all she could decide to kill them
They are our kin after all I wouldn't like to see them dead
>>
>>25952324
I don't know. Luna and Twilight might just be sympathetic to their cause. Especially since these vampires have been more or less peaceful for so many years.
>>
>>25952115
To be quite honest I don't even know anything about any of you guys really or even what I become let allow any centuries old vampire politics. It be nice to get caught up.

But as for some way to stop him if that's being asked. Maybe ask luna for help she created the vampire race in the first place right? So if the rest of you guys want to live in peace maybe she'd help out.
If this is going to turn into some kind of war we're going to need support.
>>
>>25952333
I trust Luna but not twilight, not that twilight doesn't care, but I think her feelings for her teacher will get in the way and she'll squeal too soon to change celestia's mind on vamps and mess things up. If we give up the info we should try and get a audience with Luna in person.
>>
>>25952380
I'd be much more comfortable if Luna came to us in dream or in person. Anywhere rather than us going to her in the palace.
Maybe I'm being overly cautious, but I don't feel comfortable around that many guards and that close to Celestia. There'd be no escape if any of the solar guards found out we were there.
>>
>>25952380
I agree if anything we should give info to luna
we are children of night
giving her info would be by far a better idea than telling twilight..
>>
>>25952460
That's a good Idea. Dream realm chat sounds good. We should try to contact her in our sleep next time we take a nap.....wait forgot we sleep during the day and that's when she's napping....guess we could try sleeping early.
>>
>>25952512
If nothing else, we could simply ask Twilight to put us in touch with Luna simply for security's sake. If Luna trusts Twi, she can then relay all the same information to Twilight.
Just a simple middleman step, nothing personal against Twilight except that her close relationship to the princess that wishes genocide on our race is a huge threat.
>>
>>25953297
>>
You guys realize Twilight is already hiding this from Celestia right?
She flat out told us that Celestia is irrational when it comes to vampires.
I don't think hiding things from her is a good idea.
>>
>>25953906
She's also said that she planned on eventually telling Celestia. She thinks that if Celestia knows we are helping Twilight then Celestia will have to admit that we're not all bad.

I think Twilight is naive, we should convince her not to do this.
>>
>>25954142
Oh I'm not saying we can't do that, I just think trying to cut Twilight out is a bad idea. She's already a part of this, so we can't avoid her. Talking to both Luna and Twilight seems like the best option. Luna has experience with this. She can explain things to Twilight better than we can.
>>
>>25954229
I agree luna can definitivly explain our position and how importnant safety is to us to twilight
much better than twilight could on her own

>Patwrite smacks his hoof on his desk.
>"Please, cease with the random rumors. Here's what we know."
>He brings them up to speed on what you told him, your story of being turned by accident by Fang, the story of the guard killed with the info. He assumes that the guard was meant to find the info and presumably drive the council out.
>Besides news of the deaths, he says you're their newest source on anything related to Fang, and our thoughts ought to be considered.
>Baron rolls his eyes, and Princeps audibly sighs, but Patwrite gives you the floor.
"Uh, well I'm sure you all know more than me about Vampire politics, but I'm fairly sure Fang is trying to frame you. He tried to recruit me, and told me his ultimate goal is to rule over the ponies as some all powerful tyrant. You all rely on secrecy, and Fang is targeting that reliance."
>The blue unicorn rises.
>"I think we all are quite aware of that, Do you have anything novel to contribute."
>He glares down at you.
>You instinctively fold your ears back at his outburst.
"I-I don't know. I'm pretty new here. What about Luna? I hear 'Nightmare's Chosen' thrown around a lot, why not try to revive that alliance?"
>The whole room looks at Princeps.
>"I am the first among Nightmare's Chosen. Long ago I secured that alliance, when you were not even a twinkle in your ancestor's eye. But times change, and I no longer lead what is left of our race."
>Patwrite crosses his forelegs
>"With good reason, Princeps, now sit. You may consider yourself first among us, but now you're the last of your kind. An alliance with Luna is simply not on the table. It's simply another avenue we might be discovered by."
>Baron, rises and adds his voice to the mix.
>"If Fang continues his campaigns we may have no other choice."
(1/2)
>>
>>25961847
>Many others do the same.
>Diane and Patwrite are against making any alliances, reasoning that secrecy and dealing with Fang directly are better alternatives.
>Baron and Princeps think that the alliance is the way forward.
>June Bug and Dust Devil seem more on the fence, though June seems to lean toward Patwrite, and Devil towards Princeps.
>It looks like a hung council, but you might convince the others to see your side, if you can pick one.
>>
>>25961864
Why does Celestia hate us?
>>
>>25961864
Luna's far more favorable in the public eye today than she was before her banishment.

Celestia might not be willing to see reason, but with her sister sympathetic to our cause, we might be safer. If even just to use her influence of the royal guard to keep the guard off our backs.
>>
>>25962057
>You decide to put in on the side of attempting an alliance.
"I think we have far more to gain by courting a princess's favor. And if her sister is sympathetic it would be difficult for her to just kill us."
>Patwrite scoffs
>"That's a huge 'if' Mango. We've had no contact with Luna since her banishment. And the two sisters are closer now than they ever have been. If anything I'd guess Luna would be far more loyal to her sister's wishes than to us."
>Diane brushes her mane out of her face, and comments
>"If anything I think we're being far too indirect here. If we can't assault Fang directly we should intercept his next attack. Look at the timings, if you ignore the Las Pegasus attacks he's working his way southwest from the Crystal Empire. The next attack should be in Canterlot or maybe Ponyville. Old Princy is nearly a match for Fang by himself."
>"We are not fighting Fang in the streets!"
>"My name is Princeps, I do not care for nicknames."
>>25962014
"Do any of you know why Celestia hates us so much?"

>"I don't think we've ever bothered much with the whys, sweetie. But as long as I've lived, she's had us hunted and sponsored bounties."
>Princeps agrees. "Even before the nightmare incident Celestia detested us, but when we sided with Luna she became obsessed. She nearly succeeded in wiping us out then, and it's only been about a century since she disbanded her personal group of Vampire hunters."

>It might be easier to convince the ponies on the fence.
>You might need to tailor your argument to each pony, of course.
>>
I think it'd be tough to do any convincing without revealing why we're actually here.

Even then, it's risky and might get us killed.
>>
>>25963150
What about Twilight? if she can be convinced to help us than we might be able to contact Luna through her. She also has no history with vampires.
>>
>>25963150
We don't really know enough about them to appeal to them properly.
I'm on the fence about telling them who really sent us. It's risky obviously, but opinions would likely change with that information.
Still, if we can talk them into making contact themselves it would be better.
Ask Princeps what the dealings with Luna were like before her banishment. How close to the vampires was she?
>>
>>25963253
They are not going to trust the student of the princess who wants to wipe them out. Even if twilight was a good choice I think they would disregard her out of fear.
>>
>>25963150
At this point I think exposing ourselves as luna's agent might work if we rationalize why luna hasn't just flat out wiped them out. When knowing all this info.

They already said that they couldn't take on fang because one he's too powerful and two it was bring attention. But fact of the matter is that the option of a subtle war as been taken away already. That's what fang wanted and now with all the people dieing and with all the ones that will die it will more then likely be impossible.

And if we did find some way to fight fang subtly hes just going to completely use all of his efforts to hurry exposer or just take us down with him. At this point taking a risk on luna would be the least of their problems. Because the hunters are already on the trail of vampires, proof of this is based on how we found the place our self.
Trying to intercept all of fang's agents is too tedious and would take too much time. and at most the effectiveness of that option would only delay the inevitable.
Were on the rush and out of options.

And if that doesn't work or if they're still on the fence we can use the fact that we'er luna's agent as a ace in the hole. And claim we cant bring them proof if given some time because luna already knows about them.
>>
>>25964160
Thing is taking chance with Luna is virtually best option as trying to stop fang would be time consuming and quite possibly result in some deaths its just a dumb risk
>>
>>25964160
>And claim we can bring them proof if given some time because luna already knows about them.

oops. I have a feeling that t could make a difference...or not whatever.

The problem is that Fang has no interest in keeping this quiet, and the only means of stopping him quickly would draw more attention.
At this point it's very likely that these activities are going to be noticed, if they haven't been already.
Right now we have the opportunity to approach those who could aid us and explain who is actually responsible for this.
Celestia may be unreasonable, but I doubt the others are the same.
If we approach them with an offer to help stop someone killing ponies all over Equestria we can paint ourselves in a positive light.
Bare in mind that Fang already left the location of this meeting on a hunter. How long until he leaves something else on another dead on?
It's going to be far harder to explain it wasn't you when a death squad kicks down your door.

>You listen to the others argus a bit, while thinking about your own role in this.
>Patwrite is trying to remain as neutral as possible, but he clearly favors the status quo.
>He explains that if no consensus is reached then they will shelve the issue and take a break, having another meeting some time this week.
>After some discussion, and no consensus, they decide that the second meeting should take place two nights from now.
>Mango is unsure what to do. Fang obviously has the upper hand against these vampires, and they're just trying to lead secret lives. Fang is obviously a much bigger threat.
>However the risk to her is immense if she admits to spying, even if that proves that Luna and Twilight are not outright hostile to the Vampires.
>Maybe if she gets to know these ponies better her admission would go over better.
>Or maybe Twilight would know what to do.
>But waiting carries its own risks.
>>
>>25971094
We should consult the princesses first.
Once they know the situation we can decide how best to explain things.
>>
>>25971094
Since Twilight isn't here let's just try to get to know the other vampires for now. They might be able to teach us a few things about being a vampire as well.
>>
>>25971150
>>25971164
>You wish you could explain that Princess Luna and Twilight weren't going to kick their door in, and might make a good alliance, you don't dare say anything more
>Revealing yourself as a spy is simply too risky.

>After the rest cool down from the heated discussion on Fang, Diane rises up.
>"I'd like to discuss something else."
>Patwrite sighs.
>"Is it the same thing you bring up every meeting?"
>"I'm not going to stop, Patwrite. Plus, we have new ears for the discussion."
>Most of the others seem to be less than interested in what she's saying, but you listen carefully.
>"I am proposing a regulation on the amount and types of Cattle allowed to be possessed by a council member. In the interest of our own honor and more importantly secrecy we should endeavor to not keep cattle in ways that might attract undue attention."
>"In my opinion, traditional hunting and disposing of the food is a far more covert and desireable option. You may not share my opinion, but I find it far more ethical to hunt and kill than subject a mortal to such a disgrace as forced servitude that being blood cattle imposes."
>"Of course I'm practical. I know nopony here supports total abolishment of the practice."
>"At least not after the last 20 times you got rejected." Baron snidely remarks.
>"So," the Pegasus continues, "I'm proposing that we don't take foals, we don't keep any one pony for longer than a year, and we don't keep more than five cattle per Vampire."
>Dust Devil rises on the other side of the room.
>"Unacceptable. You would have us live as Mosquitoes on the back of the ponies? Keeping cattle is how we know that we're progressing as a race."
>"Just as the ponies went from gathering wild oats and berries to farming vast acres, so shall we progress to new highs. You would stand in the way of progress! I wholeheartedly disagree."
>Does Mango want to voice an opinion on the matter?
>>
>>25971656
There's nothing for us to say really. We don't have cattle and we don't need cattle.
It's kind of a nonissue for us.
>>
>>25971656
Keeping "cattle" is better than killing ponies, but having large numbers of them would just make us more visible. Also since they are sentient creatures it would be better to take some considerations as to their quality of life. We prefer drinking donated blood since we wont have to hurt anybody to get it.
>>
>>25971656
I think its a bit more merciful to kill someone and dispose of the body then to keep someone as a slave or lock them up in a room taking years off they're life. But perhaps there's another way.

Why not just knock somebody out make some blood bags and leave them out in the alley perhaps take a money off them to make them think they've been robbed.I think honor is a lot less important the ethics.
>>
>>25971995
The death or disappearance of an individual effects those around them.
>>
>>25972370
I never said to wouldn't effect people. That a inevitability not matter what.

I just feel like I would rather take a life then ruin one permanently. Because after that what kind of life is that to live.
>>
>>25972697
No one has to ruin one permanently though. Cattle don't need to be kept in cages, nor do they need to have an unhealthy amount of blood taken.
>>
>>25972737
But they're not live stock though. It would be different if they weren't thinking things with friends and families.

Sure maybe some ponies wouldn't mind being kidnapped only to be treated like royalty for a year or something while donating some blood. But you can't just interrupt the lives of others like that. And when someone has been missing for so long and just suddenly come back out of nowhere, rumors will start and questions will be asked.
>>
>>25972943
Nigga you ain't listening. Cattle don't have to be kidnapped or abused. All that's needed from them is blood. They could even be paid for it.
>>
>>25971811
>>25971995
>>25972370
"Are those really the only options? Why not just knock them out and take the blood, leaving them alive..."
>"How old are you again? A few weeks?" Diane asks rhetorically, "New Vampires often feel that way, but you know the only way to grow more powerful as a Vampire is to drink fresh blood, right from the veins. Blood Bags will keep you alive and fed, but feeding off a living pony will make you truly LIVE."
>"Mortals live and die each day, but we are unique. Their lives give purpose to ours and the hunt is a sacred thing. Keeping cattle as they suggest trivializes this bond."
>"No one cares about your spiritual mumbo jumbo, Diane. Living between each hunt is primitive. Cattle keeping is the best, most modern way, and I think the council agrees."
>Murmuring supports Dust's assertion.
"I don't know. Keeping cattle sounds better but even so a limit on numbers seems prudent. Too many and they might be noticed."
>Dust rolls his eyes.
>"Diane here just has it out for my operation. I'm planning something right now that requires more than the usual amount of cattle and she knows it. She simply seeks to sabotage me for her own gain."
>The blue pegasus looks taken aback.
>"T-that's not true at all! Even if I did know about some harebrained scheme of yours..."
>Patwirte smacks the desk again.
>"Enough you two, this has gotten too personal. Dust, cease with the baseless accusations."
>Dust scowls but sits.
>"And Diane, our new member here is naive to the way things work, don't try to poison her mind with your radical ideas. This council is against your proposal."
>Diane scrunches at that, sitting back down with a harumph.
>"Now," the leader continues, "Does anypony else have anything to bring for consideration?"
>>
>>25973014
I hate to admit it but I really do like power.
>>
>>25973014
Not really. We won't have any real sway in this council anyway because we're so young.

We've done our work, just listen for others to speak up, if they do.
>>
>>25973014
Nah.
>>
>>25973014
Wait...so we don't necessarily have to kill someone to grain in strength then right. Just get fresh blood? Im kinda ok with this.

Discreetly ask Diane about learning to control yourself when feeding after the meeting.
>>
>>25973578
Why would we ask Diane that? She's the one who prefers to kill.
>>
>>25973648
Oops I must have misread. you're right.

How about Dust or Baron then.
>>

>"No? Alright then. This meeting is on recess for two nights. See you all then."
>As everypony leaves you're left with questions.
>You want to ask somepony about the cattle. How they control their feeding from them.
>Since you can't quite decide you pick June at random.
"Hey, June Bug, Is that true, about the living pony thing? Is that how you get more powerful?"
>"Well of course it is. But I can tell you want to know more."
"I was wondering how you control it. The blood draining. Everytime I do it, I seem to be unable to stop before it kills the victim."
>"Heh, victim. The thing about control, child, is that it's a mental thing. You have to train your brain, so to speak. You need to be very deeply prepared for what you're doing."
>She sighs and puts a hoof to her chin.
>"Excuse my pontifications, what I'm trying to say, honey, is that it takes experience and practice. There's no technique to self control, you just have to learn it."

I guess such things come with time and practice
Let's just get going now
You anons prob forgot but we have to pick up our armor tomorrow
>>
>>25975341
Practice... hmm.
Guess it might be time for some more crime fighting later.
>>
>>25977019
If Fang wasn't there going back to deal with that crime family would might have been an option.
>>
>>25977966
Hey they're always crimnals that need a good blood suckein' and in a big city like canterlot is probably going to have some good lowlives to take out.

Just no eating petty criminals. But we can practice our fighting on them.
>>
>>25977994
Aye we're gonna be a vampony hero now?
sounds good
>>
>>25977994
I don't think hunting in Canterlot is a good idea.
We don't want to draw attention here.
>>
>>25978033
Yeah good point. So anyone got any good ideas for a training ground?
>>
>>25978033
I agree. Not here. Though how do we suck blood directly without making more vampires?
>>
>>25978076
I'm not sure really. A big city we can get to by train? That or we practice on animals first.
>>
>>25978080
Normally killing target will obvs not turn them
but that' not what we want yes no more deaths?
hmm apparently draining a victim and leaving them alive turns them into a vampire
then how could we drain blood without killing
>>
>>25978080
Either destroy the corpse or don't kill them.
>>
>>25978094
I'm pretty sure Fang actually killed us.
I think that's part of the process.
>>
>>25978107
Yeah, they drain ponies here all the time and yet we don't have a ton of vampires. So it probably has something to do with how much you drain. we just have to make sure we don't drain them dry.

Perhaps we should ask June about it before we start.
>>
>>25978137
I agree defo ask June about that one
