It'll be a compilation, potentially containing everything from originals, remixes, collaborations, etc. The past efforts never came to fruition, so we're trying once again. If you create music, sing, rap, create art, write lyrics, have ideas, or just want to participate, jump right in. Basically anything is acceptable. This means complete originals, remixes, collaborations, soundscapes, etc.

Please submit a mastered/unmastered WAV or AIFF. Please upload it to a site that doesn’t compress the audio file (Like Dropbox and Mediafire. NOT Vocaroo), and then share the download link. You can also upload to OneDrive (https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=C6319434888276ED%21105. To upload, post your email in the thread or email [email protected], and we'll add you). If you don’t post in the thread, please email [email protected] so we know for sure you’re submitting something.

We actually probably have the same processor. I have a specific processor that takes 6 cores and double threads them to give them the power of 12 cores. It's the 17-5820k @ 3.30GHz. Adobe will then recognize 12 cores in your computer but then proceed to fuck you over by using as many of them as possible to get some of the simplest shit done. Pic related. Otherwise I have an overclocked GTX 560, a 500gb SSD for cache, about 10 TB of regular storage, Sabertooth X99 memetastic motherboard, and a case to pierce the heavens. In other words I fall for all the memes when it comes to computer hardware.

Yes and no. I can wait for 1-2 hours but this Undermeme video is literally taking all my computer can give. I blame Adobe's optimization as usual. No arguments there. But there is a reason most people are sticking with CS6 or earlier. CC 2014 and up just uses loads of your PC. I don't quite know why but many of the Adobe forums are filled with complaints about the CPU usage of PS , Ae, and other programs. I made a mistake upgrading to CC 2014. I only did it because I got a free license from a friend and it came with a lot of extra plugins.
They say if you use CC, that it's a good idea to refresh your hard drive once a year to free up as much space as possible. Because with windows 10's pagefiling system, it's no wonder CC hates working with it and the user ends up with bad optimization.

I don't even know anymore guys. Every time I try rendering one of these videos (either on of mine or the hype video) it just goes so damn slow. Last night I left it on rendering and when I woke up 8 hours later it had only gone up 3%. I am now encoding at a smaller bit rate but even with pic related, the amount of time just keeps going up and up. It's nearly at 3 hours now. I have tried removing effects, overclocking my GPU, CPU, and RAM, encoding in .mov, closing out of all programs, using AME instead of Direct Encoding, switching off of CUDA GPU Acceleration, etc.
The most frustrating part is that it just happened suddenly. I just uploaded a video last week and it was fine. Nothing has changed.
After some continuous thorough research I found that Adobe is just a fucking bitch. Multiple complaints across the internet about how Adobe CC is just a gluttonous program without any fix in sight. It's times like these that I wish I had gone with Sony Vegas with all my assets.
It seems that the only people without any issues are those with $8000 computer systems complete with 10 core dual threaded xenon processors, 12tb of Raid, Quadro GPUs and a yacht because why the hell not.
As of right now I don't know when this thing will be done. Could be not until Thursday or later. I can't even get my own videos out.
Sorry guys but I have no choice but to wait this out. Video won't be done for at least another day. In the mean time I will continue to look for answers.

Well it is possible. There are two ways to do that.
1. Literally send every file you used along with all the effects. This is difficult because so many things can go wrong in this process. But if I can't figure out a solution tonight. I will try this tomorrow.
2. Render the video in lossless. Then send it to someone else to finish in a nonlossless. This doesn't require any files since it is just the video. And it doesn't lose quality when you do it. This isn't going to work because I can't even get my computer to render it in something as simple as that.

I think the problem isn't just Adobe. Literally the only thing I changed on my computer was a Windows update. I think this has something to do with it. I will try a system restore. If that doesn't work then I think it is a coincidental correlation between these videos I am trying to render. I think it has a bad effect. But the reason that I don't think that that should be an issue is because they are effects I have used before.
There should be no absolute reason this small "simple" video takes 16 hours or more to render. I won't have it. I won't!

You know what... I never asked if we're using dry or distorted.
The highest priority would actually be to have them as WAV files (higher quality). I think we can roll with either dry or distorted: dry for extra flexibility; distorted becausewe're really running out of time.
I've now asked our mixer (Anoridan) what he'd like. I expect he can do both but he's got his work cut out as it is.
Otherwise, I've got Guitar Rig I can run the dry stuff through. Not that I know how...

No, if song is asking for for distortion/overdrive/crunch/whatever and you as guitarist have some sound in mind you should provide both distorted AND DI tracks. Ideally.
Also, "Clean" means that there must not be any eq'ing, compression, modulation or distortion. If you want to do some hardcore modulation effect on that part deliver that, but make sure you add effect-clean and DI track too. That way i'll have my hands untied and will be able to reamp DI if i decide that your sound doesn't fit i can always change thing like we need.

Converting an MP3 to a WAV won't give any benefit. WAVs, AIFFs, and technically FLACs have all the audio information, but when you convert it to an MP3 or similar format, audio information is lost in the conversion process to shrink file size. The problem is that when the information is gone, it's gone. You can't convert back to a WAV and get all the data back. Why even use a WAV? They are better for mixing, as they have a lot for information to work with. Using MP3s can lead to artifacts and other ugly sounds easier. However, if you don't have the original recorded WAV file, the 320kbps mp3 is the next best option, though not preferred.

More or less, with help, of course. I decided early on that I'd take on the responsibility of...managing this project, you could say (at least, if no one else did). Based on this board'sand life in generalhistory, I felt that if this was to be a thing, it needed someone to keep track of everything. I didn't want to sit back and wait for someone else to take charge, especially over such a length of time, and then watch it fail. So, knowing I would at least do it, I did it. I think that's what we've agreed on, at this point. Time is of the essence. Anyway, it's a good reference picture for a general idea of what it'll be. I say let him have some creative license, though, as he probably knows art better than we do.
As for the photo, I think a slight upward view (upward as in the "camera" is sort of below the stage) might look a bit better. Then again, I haven't drawn in forever. Maybe we can get a rough sketch/updates if he decides to do it?

Probably a GPU failure.

Let me type out what I've done:
Computer:
>MSI X99A SLI Plus
>Intel i7 5820k 3.3GHz 6core
>I think an AMD SSD for boot
>WD Black for storage
>HyperX Fury 16GB of DDR4 RAM (4x4)

>Nvidia GeForce 750Ti, 2GB
What's wrong:
Turn on computer. It powers up (all fans, motherboard, ect), but the screens are black. No welcome screen. No Windows. No BIOS. No beeping (actually can't remember if it beeped in the first place). Nothing at all. Doesn't look like the screens are even getting signal. Also, the keyboard for some reason doesn't work, even though I plugged it into a different computer and it works fine then. Nothing, as far as I know, was changed from when I powered it down last night to when I turned it on when I got up.
What I've done:
>restarted the computer
>used canned air to clean computer.
>unplugged all extra cables
>USB keyboard isn't working for some reason. Plugged it into my work computer, and it functioned perfectly.
>re-set RAM (4 cards of 4).
>Used only one stick of RAM. Tried this with each of the cards
>Used the motherboards internal backup multi-BIOS switch
>Clicked the reset button on the motherboard
>pushed power plugs into the board to make sure they're not loose.
>clear CMOS button
>removed internal battery and put it back in.
>Switched out current graphics card with my old one. Both powered on, but nothing changed. No graphics on motherboard.
>Made sure monitors worked, by plugging them into my work computer.
>tried removing all drives (including CD) and turning it on.
>removed all RAM and turned it on. This caused it to try to turn on, but then turned off and repeat. Not too surprising.
>Plugged SSD into work computer and using Malwarebytes to scan it.
So far, I the issue remains exactly the same as before. I'm going to take it in tomorrow or Tuesday to get it looked at if I can't figure something out. Any ideas?

-We shifted the perspective to go lower as requested of Sound Guy.
-We made all the band ponies anon ponies as suggested.
-I had the artist put rock n' roll hair styles on the ponies. (If you can guess the reference then you get a cookie)
-Anon is still in the background with a puzzled look on his face.
The progress looks good so far IMO. I think little should be changed if anything.
Tell me what you think. We can make a few changes here or there but remember, this needs to be done soon and we can't be making big changes this late in the progress.
Next step is shading and coloring. Get Hype!
