More continuity between episodes. It's often expressed that it doesn't really seem like the characters learn things and retain them between episodes that often. This is most notable in how many "Fluttershy becomes assertive" episodes we have.
I'd like to ask for long story arcs, but for a little girl's show, that's sort of a lot to ask.
