Granny Smith knows the basics (and probably the details as well), but Ponyville didn't spring up in a day, after all. It sort of accrued around Sweet Apple Acres, Stinkin' Rich, and the zap apple delicacies sold in the growing town. But even if it seemed to happen when they weren't looking, the town DID take the time and effort of ponies settling in to properly form and incorporate. When'd they get someone in charge to handle zoning and such? The layout seems just orderly enough that some engineering went into it. And Mayor Mare wouldn't have been the first- she just inherited the office one way or another. Perhaps it's all a matter of public record.

It is the weakest of the three overall, but the sense of epic scale of the Northern war is right there and it has got the best questline of the series with Baron.
You should play it while it's new.
All of the games were great at their time but te second one is no longer the game to make Crysis jealous back in the day so it kind of lost a tiny bit of its charm and I can't recommend the first one as it is really a 9 year old Gothic sequel and judging by /v/'s response to the game at large, people nowadays can't enjoy it nowhere near as much as I did back when I got the Enhanced Edition as it came out.

As I said, the core gameplay was lifted from Gothic so it operated on older control schemes.
It's the same like Morrowind or Armored Core, games that used control schemes which fell out of favour and are thus seen as "clunky" today.
Same for the likes of games that used the superior EDSF layout (Tribes 2 is a perfect example).
Speaking of such, let's say that, hypothetically, MLP gets less popular down the lines and goes through a gen or two, but then Hasbro decides to get a game for it.
Is there a chance they'd get some sort of real 3D platformer or would they keep with the old times and produce some showelware?

I've played on Feenix for quite a long time, it was well scripted.
Now they have just rolled out the new pre-TBC realm and will gradually change it into TBC, like Bliz did. They have all the scripts already, so it's just for the experience.
