I don't plan to be one of those specifically commissioned artists because I feel like it becomes a business rather than a hobby. I do plan however topossibly be a vendor at a con. Say what you want (and its probably true), but I can't think of anything more gratifying than being able to interact with people who consider your art worth physical money. It was never about the money, but I'd love to be able to share my work in a physical tangible matter with people in real life. It'd be nice to see their expressions of happiness and joy when buying it.Feel free to tear me a new asshole because even I think that was gay. But at least its genuine.

Don't shade with black. Use colours depending to the ambience of the picture you're drawing, and set the layer properties for the shading layer to "multiply". There are many useful tutorials out there, but never EVER shade with black.

Don't ever shade with black? I've been told by many people that I'll be tempted to shade with color, and that it realistically isn't a color that makes sense as shading. Black is what you genuinel use to shade unless you use the "cheat" method (which I don't even know yet). But go on and explain it a little more because I REALLY need help with shading.

Use colours to set the tone for the picture and make your colours pop. Don't listen to anyone who says that you should shade with black at all times. I recommend googling "tumblr shading(or coloring) tutorial", you should find some useful stuff that way.
