For me, it would be extremely degrading to the show, even if it wouldn't spill into it. I want to be able to watch the show without the elephant in the room always reminding me that a blatant Monster High ripoff is actually part of that otherwise "perfect" universe. I can tolerate Twilicorn, i can tolerate her eyesore of a castle, they still fit in FiM enough that i can ignore the fact that they only exist due to executive mandates. EqG on the other hand is an absolute abomination. By the way, I don't care if some people enjoy it as a spin-off.
