Friends Forever #23 (Fluttershy and Applejack) and the Holiday Special are due out tomorrow (Dec. 2); they should be digitally released in a couple of hours!
It's (probably) not a danger any longer, but what might have come to pass had any of the altered timelines' inhabitants used the time travel spell? Could it have been jump-started without the modifications Starlight Glimmer made to Star Swirl's spell? Seemingly the only magically charged pony interested in the prospect was Nightmare Moon herself - could she have effected changes she desired? Who can say what kinds of ripples that might produce, or what would become of Twilight Sparkle and Spike in such an event.
Regardless, it's not a field the princess of friendship should be eager to dally in. However, perhaps she should take a greater interest in the mechanics of the map at large - it's some rather potent power, and she should take care not to be blindsided by its potential again, if she can help it.

I think he's using C as a basis for this.
He's typecasting the colt that's an instance of Colt into a Filly; (Filly)colt.
But then he's doing something with filly. I assume it's some kind of construction function for instantiating fillies; but it takes a Filly parameter.
I think the filly method is taking a pointer to colt that's being cast to Filly so that it's setup properly; filly() might be assuming the pointer is NULL or have a way to handle if it's an instantiated filly; it's hard to say without seeing the method filly.
Either way, he's created a colt and seems to intend on either turning it into a filly or at least using it like a filly. The absolute mad man.
